Ultimate Containers Pro

I contacted Ultimate Container Pro ('UCP') in May 2019 to request information on their self-contained garbage compactor units advertised. After several telephone calls and emails between ***, *** and myself, we decided to acquire one unit for $17,460 plus transportation fee. *** emailed a quotation showing cost to construct.
The quotation stated it would take 3 - 6 weeks to construct with a 50% deposit ($8,730.00) before commencing. The balance to be paid once the unit was completed but before delivery.
UCP experienced many issues which hampered the construction of the compactor unit. The final issue was a manufacturer defect motor. At this point, *** offered us open roll off bins for our deposit. We had no need for roll off bins and needed the compactor unit. After further conversations with *** about the defective motor, he said he would have to return it to their supplier in China. A replacement motor was expected by October 10, 2019.
When I finally heard from *** on October 15, he informed me that he was out of office for a week due to a family crisis and that I should contact *** at UCP. So, I emailed *** and he indicated that UCP is going through a transition as it was sold. He did not offer any explanation on the self-contained compactor unit or the replacement motor *** told me was expected October 10. However, he emailed on October 22 offering us, again, roll off bins in stock as exchange for our deposit. I informed *** that roll off bins are not an option. So *** requested our details to wire back the deposit.
When I asked *** to confirm when it will be sent, he indicated 10/23/19 that their accountant is processing and he will let me know. After no further confirmation on the refund, I messaged *** on 10/28/2019. *** offered roll off bins but we declined. To my surprise, on 10/29/2019 *** said UCP will complete the compactor in 30'45 days and that's their final verdict. We do not need it again, ONLY our deposit returned.
