Review: Our brother [redacted] the [redacted] of this motorcycle passed away on 1-**-15. The motorcycle was taken to the noted repair facility because of an accident in May of 2014. The bike hasn't left the noted facility since being dropped off by our brother. Since the repairs were completed and [redacted] had told my brother [redacted] & I the repairs were paid in full, [redacted] & I went to the repair shop on 1-**-15 to pick up the bike. The [redacted] of the shop indicated he was owed thousands of dollars for the repairs and extras that [redacted] had done. We requested a copy of the bill and how much he owed, but the [redacted] couldn't tell us what was owed and didn't have a bill, although the bike was completely repaired. I returned to this repair facility on 1-**-15 with my wife and explained we wanted an itemized bill for the work preformed and what was paid to date. [redacted], the [redacted] said to us [redacted] likely owed him $10 to $12 thousand dollars, he was upside down in the bike and we will likely want to give him the title in exchange for what was owed. I provided [redacted] my business card and requested he Email me the itemized bill, to date that hasn't occurred. Given the amount of money involved we would think the repair facility should have signed authorizations for the work authorized and any work completed to include a detailed bill. Prior to his death my brother [redacted] said that [redacted] told him that this repair facility had committed a similar offense where he took [redacted] of a motorcycle from the wife of the deceased husband for money owed.We discussed the matter with the NY State Police, but since this currently isn't a criminal matter they couldn't get involved.Desired Settlement: We would like the motorcycle that belonged to our brother returned to us without further complications, they are holding our brothers motorcycle hostage without merit.
