customer did not present at our place of business, but called on the telephoneHe did not specify how many doors his truck hadAs we did not see the truck on which the cap was to be placed, we simply ordered the cap that he instructed us to order.*** *** came to our place of business in the end of June, 2017, and we installed the cap on his truck*** *** was very happy with his new cap and the installationHe never returned to the shop for problems or adjustments; sometimes customers return for adjustments after a period of time after installationHe never called with any complaints for months, when he called from California.The cap is now almost a year old, is in used condition, and is not worth what was when *** *** purchased itWe do not refund money for customers who decide they do not want their cap anymore, for whatever reasonWe do, however, purchase used caps for resaleIf *** *** would return the cap to our shop in Pennsylvania where we installed it on his truck (at his expense, we will be happy to inspect the condition of the cap and make him an offer to purchase his used cap, although we are under no duty to do so, legal or otherwiseWe will not pay to have the cap shipped from California to Pennsylvania, and have no duty to do so, legal or otherwise

If no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Answered]June 14, 2017[redacted]Revdex.com1337 North Front StreetHarrisburg, PA 17102Complaint: 12172022Dear Ms. Cameron,I have received your email regarding my complaint submitted on 5/23/2017, and have read the business' attached message regarding the complaint. In the business' message, they write, "He did not specify how many doors his truck had". They also say, "we simply ordered the cap he instructed us to order". The fundamental details required when ordering a truck cap are the vehicle's year, make, model, bed length, and number of doors. If they had ordered the cap I instructed them to, they would have ordered the cap for a 2014 Toyota Tundra with an 8 foot bed and 2 doors, not the 4 door model I received. If the number of doors was not specified, as the business writes, they could not have known which cap to order. Therefore, if what the business says is true, they blindly ordered the wrong cap without clarifying the number of doors the vehicle has, a fundamental part of the ordering process. If what they write is false, they mistakenly ordered the wrong cap. When I came to the business in June of 2016, they installed the cap. As I have said, the cap prodtudes conspicuously behind the end of the bed, causing the water leakage during rain. As professionals who have been in the business for years, they must have recognized that the cap did not fit evenly as it should have, meaning it was the wrong model. Having realized they ordered the wrong cap, they lied by omission by withholding the information that it was the wrong cap, leading me to believe it was truly the product I believed I was purchasing. This information was likely withheld because the owner did not want to lose the sale and take a monetary loss by having to return the cap to the manufacturer. Instead of owning up to their mistake, they knowingly sold me the wrong product, in hopes that I would remain ignorant of their deceit. Now I have become aware of it, I simply wish to return the product for a refund. The business writes, "we do not refund money to customers who do not want their cap anymore, for whatever reason". As I never recieved the cap which I was lead to believe I was purchasing, I believe my request for a refund is more than reasonable.
