Ultimate Lawn Care

On 10/20/2014, an employee of Ultimate Lawn Care, performing duties for *** ***, at *** S Alma School Road, Mesa, Az, while operating a back pack mounted leaf blower, turned abruptly & directly into the side of a bicycle ridden by *** knocking her off of the bike causing injuryThe injuries included open wounds requiring stitches, cuts, abrasions & bruising which required a visit to an *** *** FacilityThe decision to use an *** *** Facility was to keep costs containedThe Ultimate Lawn Care Supervisor who came from off site to the accident location, offered to *** *** (riding with injured party) to split medical costs as did the the owner of the company who came from off site as well to speak on ***' behalf* is the employee who was operating the equipment and abruptly moved from private property (*** *** ***) onto the public right of way and directly into ***, her dogs and her bike*** had no time to react,was broadsided and was knocked into the street causing injury to her person & damage to the bike & other personal effects*** was treated at the scene by *** *** *** personnel who offered ambulance transport for further treatment*** was transported by *** *** (cost containment considerations) to the nearest *** *** Facility where she received stitches, tetanus shots & treatment for contusions & bruisingThe doctors there required bed rest for remainder of the week through Friday 10/24/2014, causing her to miss five days of work as a result of her injuriesSeveral phone calls to *** ***, Ultimate Lawn Care & *** *** not only resulted in no accountability on their part, but also a refusal to honor their commitment to pay for half of the medical costs that were incurredIn fact, some of the phone calls were met with a threatening tone & attitudeAt one point *** was told by *** *** "you better watch what you say" with regard to the good faith offer by *** *** (owner) & *** *** at the accident site to help with the expensesSubsequent attempts to resolve this issue or any other issues associated with this incident (pain & suffering, loss of income, etc.)has met with more hostile behavior
