canopy. She called back and gave us a deposit w her credit card which is non refundable. She was told this 2 times. That is our policy. No cancellations. She made her reservation at 12:45pm on 04/22/2014 with a credit card over the phone.
 
[redacted] came in on 04/23/2014 and requested a refund. I said I would do an instore credit against company policy. He wasn’t happy with that. I told him that’s all I could do.
 
[redacted] came in again on 04/24/2014 and reguested a refund. I told him no and told him if he didn’t leave, I was calling the cops on him for harassment.

Review: On 4/22/2014 my wife called Ultimate Rental to reserve a tent for 6/14/2014. Ultimate Rental took my wife's credit card information and charged the card for half the amount of the tent $125 for the $250 tent. The tent was to be used for a surprise part for a relative. We found out a day later that there was already a party set and therefore we didn't need the tent any longer.I went in person to Ultimate Rental to cancel the tent on 4/24/2014. The owner, [redacted], said they do not give returns. I explained the situation to [redacted] and [redacted] said he did not care and it was policy that they do not give refunds. I asked to see a contract and [redacted] did not provide one and claimed that it was provided to my wife over the phone. I had [redacted] print me a copy of the Invoice and cancel the rest of the order that was no put on the credit card. I told [redacted] to refund the credit card. [redacted] would not and said my wife should have listened better on the phone. I told [redacted] that this was unacceptable. [redacted] said "ok, just this once I will give you store credit". I explained that I did not want store credit as I did not want to do business at the location again due to this experience. [redacted] said "fine you get nothing". I told him to give me the store credit, thinking I would do my research when I went home. I went back to the store on 4/25/2014 after doing some research. I read the contract on the receipt that was given to me by Ultimate Rental and Sales LLC. The contract stated that half of the total amount may be charged if reservation is cancelled within 72 hours of the scheduled date out (which in our case was 6/13/2014, therefore we were well in advance of the 72 hours). [redacted] said that he did not care and that he now revokes the store credit. I presented the PA Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law (16 page docket). [redacted] did not want to look at it and told me to leave, [redacted] told me to sue him if I wanted my money back. I left as asked by [redacted]. I have also filed a complaint with the PA office of Attorney General Consumer Protection.Desired Settlement: I would like my money back as he did not perform any service for me nor did he provide any goods to me. He is keeping my money for doing nothing and I do not agree. I would also like a written statement from [redacted] explaining why he was incorrect about the event. I understand that this does not mean anything but I had to take five plus hours to try to resolve this issue and believe he needs to take some time to evaluate his business practices.
