Received a gift card. balance was not located in computer system at time of payment. Had to pay cash and wait for manager to try to find card historOn Saturday June 15,2013, I went to Ultimate Touch Spa Salon for a pedicure. At time of payment, I presented a gift card that I received as a birthday gift. The cashier was unable to locate the balance of the card. Another cashier came over to help with the transaction. They said that it may be archived since the card was issued. They took the card number and my name and number and asked me if I had the cardboard tri-fold. I told them that I didn't have that or the menu of services that I had received with the card. I think that the card was between 2-3 years old and Was hoping to receive services that someone had paid for and would be in their computer system. I don't know if they tried looking, but someone returned my call today, 6/18 and were not able to do anything for me. I believe the gift card balance was 25.00. I was not expecting to pay cash on Saturday of 28.99 and was hoping that they would be able to locate the gift card number, transaction and balance for a new service or to reimburse the cash for the gift card balance that I had.Desired SettlementI would like them to locate the gift card transaction. and honor the gift card in a future visit or to refund the cash cash that I had paid (28.99) towards the balance on the card and I will pay the difference.Business' Initial Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXXContact Email: [redacted]To Whom It May Concern: Case #XXXXXX[redacted] tried to pay for a service wtih a gift card that was non existant in our system, which usually means it has already been redeemed or there is fraudulent intent. Our company policy states we do not give cash refunds, but would be happy to honor the gift card on a future visit as long as she could provide the necessary requested information.
