I do not accept the Ultimate Women's Expo responseThey led me to believe that I would be the only Mary Kay consultant at this particular expo, regardless of what they had done in the pastSince [redacted] the Director told me numerous times on the phone and also wrote in an email, which I still have, that I WOULD have an exclusive,I thought that was the truth- especially when she sought me out and the expo was only a week awayI did not expect a company like this to lie and mislead people just to make moneyI will never do business with this company again Final Business Response / [redacted] (4000, 10, 2015/11/11) */ While we do our very best to make every exhibitor happy, with over exhibitors at Expo's each year, it just isn't possibleOur one page, very easy to read contract, which Ms [redacted] signed on X-XX-XXXX clearly states that we do not offer exclusivityWe believe in free enterprise and we do not believe in Restraint of Trade, which is what the Mary Kay representative was asking us to doWe did have two Mark Kay booths, and hundreds of other exhibitors, and they were not near each otherTo suggest that she receive a refund when she took full advantage of the booth for the entire weekend, and reaped the benefits of being there and meeting with thousands of women, is not an option Final Consumer Response / [redacted] (4200, 12, 2015/11/17) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I will not accept any response from this company that supports their wrong doingThe expo was poorly organized, and the fact that they write their "one page, very easy to read " contract in a way that basically says we are going to lie to you and tell you whatever you want to hear so you'll sign the contract, but we don't really mean any of it, is a sorry pathetic way to run a businessMy mistake for believing what I was told and what was emailed to me, before and after I signed the contract a week before the showI will make sure I tell everyone I know that the Ultimate Women's expo is a joke an not to do business with themDo not trust or believe anything they say to you, it's all bull

The customer signed an agreement for the booth, and the fee was very clear on both the contract and the credit card authorization form that she signed She took full advantage of the booth for the entire weekend, and now is disputing the charge because she claims she couldn't afford it? She has made every attempt to damage our reputation through social media and now, through the Revdex.comShe cannot get a refund because, after the fact, she claims she can't afford it Participating in an expo is like any other form of marketing There are no guarantees, but if you stand up and greet the attendees, with a smile and a great attitude, it is hard to fail Women come through the expo looking for great products and services; they are there to shop If for some reason, she didn't do well, then we are truly sorry but there are no guarantees with any form of marketing, and if she didn't do well, I hope she does better in her other marketing efforts

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:I spoke with *** and she assured me a lot of times that I was going to be able to sell It, It was actually her idea for me to go underneath the Salon and do both, she said I was going to be able to sell EVERYTHING I have at the Salon and like I said I asked several times If *** was part of It and she kept on saying yes, she even said she was going to give me a better spot than the rest of the *** people, I think is unethical to do something like that, to do advertisement and to say yes to everything a vendor is asking for just to sell a bothEven worse not being able to talk to a Manager and being called a liar she also hang up on me when I was trying to be cordial.
Sincerely,
*** ***

The customer, "*** Hair Design" signed the contract as a hair company, not a direct sales lipstick company. We keep very strict category limits on all products at the events, and only allow for three direct sales companies to participate. We had three others, and could not allow
this customer, who did not sign up to bring ***/*** to sell it in her boothI have attached a photo of the booth, showing the signage that we provided, which clearly says *** Hair Design along with her contract, to sell Hair Products. While we're sorry she was unable to sell ***, we are very careful about protecting ALL of our exhibitors, and keeping it fair for all

She has made every attempt to damage our reputation through social media and now, through the Revdex.com. She cannot get a refund because, after the fact, she claims she can't afford it.  Participating in an expo is like any other form of marketing.  There are no guarantees, but if you stand up and greet the attendees, with a smile and a great attitude, it is hard to fail.  Women come through the expo looking for great products and services; they are there to shop.  If for some reason, she didn't do well, then we are truly sorry but there are no guarantees with any form of marketing, and if she didn't do well, I hope she does better in her other marketing efforts.
