Our dogs were dropped off for the day at Ultimutt on Friday, June 19th and picked up that afternoon. On Saturday they went to the groomers where they were kept separate from any other dogs. On Sunday, we began to notice a large lump forming on the back of our Bichon Bella's neck. Concerned that this was something serious, as it was the size of 2 golf balls, we examined her more closely, particularly with her fur freshly cut short, we could see some bruises forming around her neck area. The next day we took Bella to the vet, where they noticed the bruising had continued to develop more and in more areas, and they pointed out several puncture wounds as well. The Vet informed us that it was very clear that she had gotten beat up badly by another dog, due to the numerous puncture wounds, bruises, and the large hematoma (blood blister) the size of 2 golf balls that formed on the back of her neck.
