Ultra construction proposed to repair my cedar shake roof and I gave him a 50% deposit ($2,600) and he never completed the work.After giving Ultra Construction $2,600 deposit to repair my cedar shake roof, they did one minor repair (they said it was $600 worth of materials and labor) and then said that the whole roof needed to be replaced. Ultra's quote for the roof replacement was $5,000 more than the nearest competitor so I chose the other company. Mr. [redacted] assured me that he would return the remainder of my deposit but after repeated phone calls and assurances, he has refused to answer my calls and still owes me approximately $2,000.Desired SettlementI would like the remainder of my deposit refunded to me.

Problems with driveway resealing and epoxy garage floor painting[redacted] was hired to fill the cracks and reseal the driveway. Also to prepare the garage floor and apply an epoxy garage floor kit. He returned once because the edges of the driveway were turning white. They "slopped" on some crack filler and put another coat on the edges. He assured me the "stripes" on the driveway would disappear. I still have some white edges, and the seal is so thin I still have stripes. The garage floor had two different shade of paint, since they opened a second can. It started peeling in spots after a few days, and is still peeling. We have patched six spots so far. The floor looks horrible and is still peeling. Nothing was done to prepare the floor to accept the epoxy. I have made daily phone calls to get some help, and calls have not been returned. We are supposed to have a five year guarantee, but if no one returns calls, it is apparently useless. The contract was signed on March 19,2015. The driveway amount was $625 and the garage work was $740. Checks were issued and cashed immediately...even before the paint dried.Desired SettlementI would like at least a 75% refund. I do not want this man to try to fix the problem anymore, but would like to be able to pay someone to correct the problems and do the job as it should have been done to begin with. I assume, since we are senior citizens, he felt he could get away with a shoddy job.

I have tried numerous times by phone . Will not return my calls or my money that we paid him as down payment Please help me.I paid this company $900.00 down on repair of private road work to be done on June 14th. They called me and said wouldn't be able to do it till the 27th of June. Ok,it was then to be done on the 14th of July. Still nothing is done and [redacted] will not return my phone calls. At this point all I want is my money back. This money belongs to all the residents in this neighborhood for the repair of the roads. We can't afford to just throw money away. We have to maintain our roads because they are private for this area.Desired SettlementI've paid them $900.00 That is what I want back. I don't want anything for my time and aggrevation. Just get my money back

On April 7th 2015, Mr. [redacted] contracted to replace my brick front steps and rotted railroad ties in the yard. At that time I gave him half of the cost. He never showed up when he said he would, never started the work when he said he would. When work on was finally completed it was a very shoddy job. Some steps were longer on one end then the other. Bricks were cut and laid off center. The railroad ties were never replaced. Mr. [redacted] was paid for the job. After I saw the job I have tried to contact him. When he did get back to me he said he would come out and look at it. As of today 5/1/2015 I still haven't seen him.Desired Settlement I would like my money refunded or, have him redo the job correctly with in a timely matter. Also have my railroad ties replaced.

Failure to give quality work, fill cracks,seal driveway properly and respond to finishsealing. Oct 16, 2014 [redacted] given a deposit of $375.00, for the sealing and cracking of Driveway. On Oct 18, he came to do the job. I had to call several to remind him he had my deposit and was coming out on 17th. He came out onOct 18th coated the drive. It was wet and lookedas though it was ok so I paid him the remaining175.00 agreed on. When the coating was dry it wasextremely streaky, cracks not filled in and the coating was of a watered down type. He had said at the quotation of the job that the coating wouldcoast him about 40.00 per 5 gal bucket. The fourbuckets I was him with on driveway later proved tobe of 17.88 type and the other he used he pouredfrom a 30 or 40 gal trash barrel.I called and explained to Mr [redacted] that the jobwas not complete and not as discussed and wasterrible. After 12 6 phone calls he finally saidI don't blame you for the way you feel it isit is streaked. He was supposed to come out andredo the drive way. After 12 other phone callshe refuses to reply. I let a message that I wanted 300.00 back to help pay for a job done right with another and true professional.No response. He must be held accountable fortaking advantage of people. I have to get the cracks filled and the drive way recoated before the Ice and Rain come...I was suckered in with inferior product andworkmanship.the rain and ice cause further damage.Desired SettlementRe do the job correctly or refund so I can have someone else do the job.
