Owner has refused to accept revised amort schedule based on actual payments made; thus forcing customer to overpay on the vehicle.I purchased the vehicle back in October and have been paying each month on the loan. Each payment was larger than the actual required payment. I went to pay off the vehicle in May, and the owner, [redacted], gave me the run around when it was time to determine the actual payoff. First, he said I was missing payments. Then he said I didn't make higher payments. Then he said I needed to talk to his wife, as she was accounting, but when his wife was in the office, she put him on the phone. He used his wifes absence as an escape route for talking with me. When I sent him the actual amort schedule, based off the payments we made, drafted by a professional CPA in Raleigh, he refused to acknowledge the figures and now refuses to talk with me. He is jacking up my payoff, to his benefit. I have been told by others that have worked at his location that I am not the first person he has done this too. He has a habit of jacking up payoffs. I paid more than the scheduled payment each month, my payoff should be LESS THAN WHAT IS LISTED ON THE AMORT SCHEDULE he provided to me when we signed the loan. He's using his original amort schedule when providing me with a payoff, and that's not an actual figure since my payments were higher.Desired SettlementI am asking that he acknowledge my revised amort schedule based on the payments we actually made so we can agree on the final payoff. I have the funds set aside to pay it off, and would like to do so. I want to provide my payoff so he can provide a title and never go back there for anything again. Business Response Customer received an amortization schedule when the orginal agreement was signed. This is the first time we have heard any thing from [redacted] !!!!!!!!!!!!!! His wife has called and harassed our office time and again....SHE is not on the paper work or contract and thus is not authorized.She even went as far as saying she was brining the sheriffs office on a certain dateNever happened.The later charges are occurring and the interest rate will increase if he doesn't Pay off the vehicle soon.Please send me your fax nbr. so I can send copies of sch. and the things she has said....[redacted]PresidentConsumer Response The original amort schedule that the business does NOT apply because our payments have been higher. I'm not sure how many more times I need to say this to them. They refuse to listen. My payoff is LESS THAN WHAT THE ORIGINAL schedule says because our payments our higher and the owner is refusing to acknowledge that. Very Poor business practices on their end. Ripping people off. And yes, I'm upset when I call them, as I should be. He can't handle the pressure of an educated consumer. I'd like an honest payoff. That's all I'm asking for. Too much to ask for from a crook.

Purchased a brand new minibike for a child. The motor seized up within 15 min of very light use. Store wants to charge for the repairs. Not fair.I purchased the bike on 12/16/15 from [redacted] at Ultra Power Sports on US 64 East in Pittsboro, NC. It is a 2015 SSR SX50, VIN A5SDAAR3JFCXXXXXX, green and paid $580.38 cash. The bike remained in the back of my SUV until Christmas afternoon when it was given to my 9 year old, 60 lb son. On 12/25/2015, Christmas Day, after 10 to 15 min. of light use by my son, the bike locks up and will not restart. The pull string used to crank the engine wouldn't budge. With the holidays falling near the weekend, I returned the bike on the next Monday, 12/28/2015 back to Ultra Power Sport for repair or replacement since there must have been something wrong with the motor as it was a brand new machine. I was told that as [redacted], the store manager and salesman, wouldn't be back till Wednesday 12/30/2015. I call [redacted] on Thursday, 12/31/2015,and he would barely talk to me on phone, but says clutch and transmission box needed replacing. I asked if they were going to fix the problem and he said yes. I received a call on Saturday 1/9/16 stating the bike had been fixed and was ready for pick up. I arrive at the store on Monday 1/11/16 for the bike and realize I am being charged 93.92$ for the repairs. It was explained to me that the charge was for labor as the parts were under warranty. I told [redacted] this was in error as a BRAND NEW MOTOR BIKE shouldn't break so easily and there must have been prior damage or problem from the manufacturing. The owner was called and agreed that I must pay the bill to receive my bike. During the 30 to 40 minute discussion we finally came to the agreement to reduce the bill to 46.00$ cash. I offered this amount simply to get my merchandise. I don't feel as I should have to pay any of this amount for a defective machine, and am worried it will break again very soon. There were many witnesses to the treatment of the bike and the duration of the riding on Christmas Day, and even the gasoline is what the bike came with. We have video if anyone would like to see.Desired SettlementI am seeking replacement, as this bike obviously has flaws from the manufacturer or the seller. A refund would also be acceptable. An apology would be nice, but after the other complaints I've seen, I'm not holding my breath. Business Response The customer came in today 1/11/16 to pick up his 2015 SSR SX50 which he had dropped off for service on 12/28/15.We had to order a clutch and Transmission Box for the customers SSR SX 50 Pit Bike.When the customer came in I showed him the service ticket with one and a half hours labor charge to change the clutch and transmission box a total of $75.00 labor. There was no charge for the parts which were covered under the warranty. There were additional charges of $14.42 for shipping and $4.50 for shop supplies a total of $93.92.The customer started raising his voice and telling me I needed to honor the warranty on the dirt bike I told him we were honoring the warranty that the warranty only covers parts. Labor and shipping are not covered under the warranty. He was being irate. I asked him to calm down and stop yelling, and I tried to show him a copy of the warranty, which we gave him a copy of when he bought the unit. He even signed the copy of the warranty to show that he had read it. I called the owner of the company [redacted] and ask him to talk with the customer. [redacted] spoke with him and offered to split the cost of the labor with him but the customer refused to even listen I tried to show the warranty to his friend who refused to even look at it and said something to the effect that I should be ashamed to be calling myself a conscientious business owner. We finally agreed to split the cost of the entire bill not just the labor and he gave me $46 to cover the repair.The following is an excerpt from the customers warranty which he agreed to by his signature. IF YOU NEED WARRANTY REPAIRS: All warranty repairs must be processed and performed by the selling dealer. ALWAYS CONTACT THE SELLING DEALER FIRST! Only if you cannot reach your dealer should you contact SSR Motorsports for warranty issues or repairs, and if you do you must provide a copy of the original invoice showing our model number, vehicle identification number (VIN) and date of purchase, before we can warrant your product directly. SSR MOTORSPORTS DOES NOT COVER THE LABOR OR SHIPPING REQUIRED TO REMOVE OR SHIP THE VEHICLE OR PART FOR WARRANTY REPLACEMENT. VEHICLE INSPECTION: SSR Motorsports vehicles are carefully inspected at the assembly plant and, with the exception of "drop shipped" vehicles, at the dealership prior to retail delivery. Occasionally something [redacted] slip past us, and a customer may find that a vehicle was damaged before he or she took delivery. If you see any damage when you receive you vehicle, notify your dealer immediately or as soon as you possibly can. LABOR/SHIPPING CHARGES: SSR Motorsports does not pay for labor to repair or replace component(s) or part(s) subject to wear and tear (see: Parts Not Covered by Limited Warranty), or component(s) or part(s) sustaining damage from abuse, accident(s), and/or shipping under the terms of the Limited Warranty. The Limited Warranty does not cover any damages caused by or resulting from shipping, misuse, abuse, or other reason except for a manufacturer's defect. All warranted parts must first be sent to SSR Motorsports for inspection and verification of defect(s). Until the parts are sent to us, replacement parts will not be sent under the terms of the Limited Warranty. Failure to do so [redacted] result in you getting the wrong part. We are not responsible for wrong parts sent if we do not have your part to exchange and verify correct part numbers. In some cases, the parts [redacted] have to be shipped from overseas and [redacted] take up to 8 weeks for delivery. Dealers and distributors are responsible for shipping charges incurred from shipping warranty components to SSR Motorsports and repaired or replacement parts to the original owner under the terms of the Limited Warranty. If you cannot reach your selling dealer and must return a component or part, you are responsible for any and all shipping and handling charges incurred to transport said component(s) and/or part(s) to and from SSR Motorsports.
