Review: We contacted Ultra Touch Landscaping to provide two services to our property at [redacted] to place rocks along the waterfront of the property to prevent erosion of the waterfront property and the second service was to add dirt along the waterfront property location to fill in a sinking area that was pooling water into the yard. My son, contacted [redacted], owner of Ultra Touch Landscaping to secure services for the work to be done. My son walked the property with [redacted] to show the location for where the rocks were to be placed and the dirt to fill the area where the property was pooling water. At that time, my son told [redacted] that we have a water sprinkler system on the property to alert him prior to the work being done to prevent any damage. The water sprinkler system has visible pipes along the water's edge dock that is very close to the rocks and grounds that he was to provide work. [redacted] told my son that he would personally be on site during the times the work was to be performed so that it would be done correctly. Because this is not our primary home, we were not on site each time work was being done; however, my son and I were both checking on the work by visiting the home at various times. One occasion, both myself and wife were at the home during the time work was being done and [redacted] was not there. During the work project we encountered several problems; the rock sizes were incorrect, but later corrected; the amount of dirt initially added to prevent the water pooling was not sufficient, however more dirt was brought to the property for an additional expense to us; the waterfront rocks did not extend to the property and their were several vacant areas that also had to be later addressed and [redacted] came out to finish the project himself...finally. Upon conclusion of his work, he demanded immediate payment. We sent the final payment to him after the corrections had been made. The problem came to our attention when we had the company who manages our water sprinkler system to come to the property to turn on the system. What they found was extensive damage to the water sprinkler system. The water sprinkler company, [redacted], met with my son to explain and show the damage caused by [redacted]. At the conclusion of the discussion with [redacted], we contacted [redacted] to discuss the problems. [redacted] then said that he needed to speak with [redacted] to discuss the damages. After their conversation, [redacted] told myself and son that he would pay for half of the damages. Half of the financial damage added up to be $957.00. It has been several months since the work was completed and we have been given the run around to collect payment. Not only did [redacted] tell myself, wife, and son that he would reimburse us for the damages, he also told [redacted]. The check has 'been in the mail' for several months. We would like to receive our reimbursement for damages to the water sprinkler system that I paid to fix from the work he completed at [redacted]Desired Settlement: [redacted] Ultra Touch Landscaping, needs to reimburse me $957.00 for damages to the water sprinkler system.
