Hello my name is [redacted] and I am the Operating manager that was on site on the day of the incident! First off I would like to correct something the customer thought he heard... In his complaint he says that he over heard me talking to a friend of mine about how I was out drinking until late the...

night before!! Well I work 2 jobs and I work security for a bar out in [redacted] Arizona and yes it was a Halloween party the night before and I did not get home until 4 am that morning but never did I say anything about going out drinking!! Second of all I would like to point out the fact that we have numerous signs around the building right when you pull up stating that we do not take any ** or [redacted] cards to inform all of our customers of those policy's!  There are also GIANT signs that say please remove ALL of your valuables from your vehicle because we can not be responsible for lost items in the cleaning process especially in the case of a DETAIL.. Next I would like to talk about the time it took for the employees to clean the vehicle... When you arrive here and you tell the service writer what you want he writes you a ticket when you ask for a detail he usually can tell you a estimated time of completion we can never tell you how long it will take for sure because some stains take longer to get out then others! We always try to keep you updated through out the cleaning process and if you ask about your vehicle you will be told ABOUT how much longer! In this case I did speak to the customer personally and tole him twice how much longer it would take to finish his vehicle never once did he complain or seem shocked that it was taking longer then initially thought. In fact he stated that he was happy to be getting such a good deal on a detail because he was going to be selling his car soon..
OK so after the customer returned he came inside and spoke to me about missing a [redacted] so I asked him to show me where it was we went out side he opened a little compartment and said it was inside there then he pointed out the compartment saying that it was broken and it was opening too far now.. So I said to him are you sure it was in there because it seems like an odd place to keep a [redacted] he assured me that it was in there I told him that we have signs all over to inform customers not to leave valuables in cars just for cases like this.. He said he shouldn't HAVE to remove his items and I said your right you don't have too but you are leaving them in there at your own risk!! He then asked me if I can talk to the employees that cleaned his car and I told him sure so I went and got the young lady that cleaned his car brought her over to it and asked her about seeing any [redacted] she said she did not see anything in the car as she shampooed the seats and the carpet. The owner then opened the compartment and said it was right inside there the employee then told the owner she did not even know that compartment opened and she did not touch it.. At this point I told the employee to go back to work and not to worry about it.. I then told the customer that there was not much I can do that is illegal for me to search a person onsite.. He then asked me if I do background checks on my employees and I said I do not do back ground checks that this was a car wash.. I asked him what he would like me to do and he told me to get his head set back.. I told him I will assist him in any way possible I TOLD HIM TO CALL THE POLICE so we could talk to them.. About 20 minutes later the POLICE where there we told them the situation they interrogated the employee and in conclusion told the customer that there was no evidence of foul play.. That there was no way to prove the headset was in the car. There was no evidence that the compartment was broken.. Never once did the customer complain to me about the job and service that was provided to him.. When you pay the cashier gives you a receipt and tells you that this is your claim check if he needed a duplicate copy all he needed to do is ask! 
I have been in this business a long time and sometimes we do have problems like this but I don't believe my employees did anything wrong here they did not take his [redacted] and did a great job on his car! I find it hard to believe that you would leave a $150 [redacted] in your car when you usually need it when you get out of your car! Why wouldn't he look for it before he left the property or remember it was there during the supposedly 2 hours he waited?? There are just too many inconsistency here to believe him in this case and I have to side with the POLICE and say there was no foul play here..
