Umbrella Therapeutic Services

Review: I am writing this letter to form a complaint against a company that I recently resigned from. The owner Mr. J[redacted] does not know how to comply with the rules of his contract that he signed with the Department of Youth Rehabilitative Services. Below are a list of issues that I have with the company. I am quite sure if you were to investigate, you will see that I am not the only one that has these issues. The remaining staff employed with Umbrella are afraid to report these issues because they need their jobs!!!Issue:1)Umbrella employs more than fifty employees, but Mr. J[redacted] does not offer staff health insurance, and majority of staff have worked with the company for five years or better and should be offered health insurance. Umbrella has atleast four other locations with about 15 people per site.2)Mr. J[redacted] hires people who are not certified to work with mentally ill juveniles. 3)DYRS contract states that there are to be TWO people per shift. Mr. J[redacted] cut one person off the morning shift because he wants to save money. If upper management enters the facility, he expects them to lie and come up with an excuse why another person is not in a facility.4)DYRS contract states that he is required to pay employees $15 per hour he only pays $10 per hour.5)When a child comes to the facility from DYRS they are supposed to come with paperwork such as court orders and any medical information. He is telling staff to accept them without ANY paperwork anyways and that they will find the paperwork before DYRS gets visits the facility.6)Mr. J[redacted] is cutting staff hours, but is paying the residents $25 a week if they do not abscond.I would like for someone to address Mr. J[redacted] about these issues because he is going to lose a lot more staff members.Thank You, Ms. WilsonDesired Settlement: I would just like for Mr. J[redacted] to do the right thing by his staff.
