Revdex.com:
Thanks again for looking into this issue. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and I have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. I would like to review the documents that allege my authorization of the repairs. The only document I reviewed in detail is the invoice from the initial work (attached). I have not been provided any additional documents from Victory Marine, as the second invoice has been kept by their office; nor did I sign an additional document authorizing additional repairs and the additional $1,502.

As I attempted to explain before, I only authorized Victory Marine to repair the problem of my drive not going up and down. They provided an estimate for me, I authorized that work, priced at $472, and they completed the work. However, when the boat was put in the water, the drive did not go up and down. As this was the only issue I wanted addressed, I took the boat back to Victory Marine to have the re-repair done, for what was supposed to be no additional charge. It's important to note that my boat did not sink and that I was able to get the boat back on the trailer without issue. The lack of repair on the drive only hindered the ability of the boat to move through the water quickly, it did not cause it to sink as Victory Marine purported.

I would liked to have addressed this issue quickly so that I could actually use my boat during the summer season, but all attempts to discuss this issue with the staff at Victory Marine have been met with hostility and unprofessionalism. The use of the term "mommy" in their response should be some indicator of the level of professionalism at which Victory Marine conducts their business. I have offered more than I ever intended to spend on repairs for this boat, which I have yet to use this summer, and I have been patient and cordial with the staff at Victory Marine despite their behavior towards me and my mom, who assisted in picking up the boat and delivering my check because she lives in the area. If Victory Marine has no wish to negotiate a lower cost for the repairs that I didn't want in the first place and offer no other solutions, I will have no other recourse but to file in small claims court. I have no desire to spend more time and effort on this issue, but they have offered no other solutions to resolve the dispute and have ignored all of my suggestions.

Thank you for your time considering this dispute, and please let me know if I can clarify any of the information provided.
Best Regards,

To whom it may concern, case #[redacted] We at Victory Marine appreciates everything the Revdex.com does with small businesses to help work out disputes. We apologize for this being a inconvenience of your time. As you can see on attachment #1 is the invoice for the first time the customer...

brought the boat to us and Victory Marine filled out the invoice exactly the way the customer dictated to us  the way the customer wanted the repairs made to his boat. On the 1st attachment(Invoice) when his mommy came to pay  and picked up the boat for him, mommy asked Victory Marine if the boat was sea worthy and we told her no it was not. We even showed her why the boat was not sea worthy.  She asked why the repairs were not done to make the boat sea worthy and we told her that her son declined the additional repairs.  Victory Marine wrote our concerns on the first attachment(invoice) why it was not sea worthy. The customer made a comment that he has not used the boat since the repairs were made on the 1st attachment(invoice) because the boat was not sea worthy, we told them the boat would sink, without the repairs being made, that the customer declined the 1st time. The customer came back to have the declined repairs made from the previous invoice done. The customer on 2nd attachment(invoice) he filled out the work to be performed column and the only time he asked for a estimate was for the upholstery repair. That is in his handwriting. If that is what he wanted he should have wrote it on the invoice in the work performed column. When he came to pick up the boat he was very condescending, and blamed us for not writing estimate on the invoice, which he personally filled out and signed the work order giving us permission to perform the repairs.(please read the signature column of our work order that was signed by the customer)  at that time their was nothing written or verbally expressed by the customer for a estimate on the 2nd invoice except for the upholstery only. Thank you for your time.
