I ordered a product that was never received. Have not received promised product or refund requested.On 3/26/14, I placed an online order for Dr. Amen's package of books and CD's. I was told it should take 6-8 weeks to arrive and I have never received it but it was posted to my credit card! The first time I called I was told they were closed(it was 8 pm). The next time I called before 5pm and was told they were closed. I sent an email inquiring and was told it was back ordered( now nothing was ever sent to let me know that it was backordered until I inquired first!)The ship date was 5/13/14 and the email stated I should receive it in a week. Two weeks went by and I never received the package or notification of any kind so I emailed asking for a refund and was told via email that in 5-7 days I would receive it. Nothing has been posted to my account as of 6/11/14. I called for the third time today and was told that they couldn't help me but someone would call me within 24 hours. This is ridiculous!Desired Settlement I want my $240.00 back.Business Response The business hours for UNC-TV are 8AM-5PM. Any calls received before and after those times will roll over to our answering service. If all customer service phone lines are busy during regular business hours, the calls will then also roll over to our answering service. Dr. Amen's package of books and CD's was on backorder from our vendor until April 8, 2014. There was failure on our part to send notice to members that the items were on backorder. There were over 800 requests for these items and this member's request was number 584 on the list. Items are shipped out in the order in which pledge payments are received therefore the items in question were released for shipment to this member on May 13. On May 15 a UNC-TV customer service representative responded to the member's email inquiry. The email indicated that the items were being shipped and to allow one week for their arrival. Upon delivery, the items were refused by the member and returned to the fulfillment warehouse. The member requested a refund on May 26. In accordance with fulfillment protocol UNC-TV could not submit the refund request until items were returned and received at our fulfillment warehouse. On June 3 the items arrived at our warehouse and were processed to our computer system on June 9. The refund request was then submitted to our finance department on June 12. The refund of $240 was credited back to the member's [redacted] card on June 13.We regret that delays in delivery of program related thank you gifts occur from time to time, especially in the case of popular programs at UNC-TV and public television stations nation-wide.
