Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: When I last spoke with *** *** with Unclaimed Freight, I expressed that my preference was either a replacement (first), or refund for original purchase price I also specifically stated that if these options were-not available for me that I DID want to at least pursue getting the necessary repairs done on the chair to make it at least functional as it should-be I "never" stated that I refused repair to the chair - only that I shouldn't be forced to have a brand-new chair (let alone, one that I paid >$for...) 'repaired' in-lieu of refund or replacement When the repairman was at the house to check the chair - the words 'minor-repairs' is not what he conveyed to-me. In addition to the internal alignment of the chair, the unequal stuffing and failing stitching cannot be easily repaired by simply re-aligning the internal mechanics beneath.I have not contacted them since December 20th in lieu of the communications that the Revdex.com has provided. The last communications above instructed me to await Unclaimed Freight's response to the Revdex.com Therefore, I did not make contact with them directly during this time. The furniture company (*** ***) has since sent me an email indicating and I quote: "You must contact the dealer for further assistance.... ...It would be up to them as to how this is handled. The dealer carries all warranty on the furniture for the 1st year." My preference is replacement or refund (in fact - I would even accept store-credit for original purchase price). I feel having a brand-new chair repaired is not really a 'warranty' action at all. In lieu of 'nothing' - at-lease repair the chair to the state that it should be (not only internal alignment mechanics but the poor stitching and stuffing as well). Please advise Thank You & Regards,

Ms*** does not have an issue with Unclaimed Freight; her issue is with the *** recliner she purchased from usMs*** claimed in her Revdex.com response that *** wrote her an email that stated Unclaimed Freight covers the warranty for the first yearWhile we cannot comment on what may be written in the email, Unclaimed Freight can state with no uncertainty that we do not provide warranty service (parts or labor) for the products it sellsAll warranty services are provided by the manufacturer which, in this case, is ***Unclaimed Freight can and may coordinate warranty service between the customer and the manufacturerOne of the issues Ms*** has with the recliner is that she says she falls into a "hole" when the chair is reclinedWhen a recliner reclines, there is a gap between the seat and the backThis is by design, as the chair could not recline if the seat and back were connectedThis is true for all reclining furnitureThe gap is not large enough to "fall" through, but it can be feltThe recliner Ms*** purchased reclines back to almost a horizontal, flat position, which opens this gap to the maximum. Ms*** is calling this a defect when it is notUnclaimed Freight has coordinated warranty service for Ms*** and her reclinerThe factory authorized technician looked at the chair, and determined that it needed some minor adjustments to the fill material and possibly a part to correct a minor misalignmentBeyond that, the chair is fineShe told the technician that she did not want any repairs done at that timeAt this time, Unclaimed Freight will coordinate any repairs and order parts if necessary, as authorized by ***.Thank you,*** *** ***

Ms. [redacted] purchased the recliner on October 19, 2017. On December 12, 2017, she contacted us to inform us she fell into the gap between the seat and the back when in the reclined position and that a seam was coming loose. We sent a factory authorized technician to look at the chair. He made the...

determination that there was nothing wrong with the chair except for a minor repair. She refused any repairs at that time. The chair is covered by the manufacturer's warranty, and Unclaimed Freight is bound by the decision made by [redacted] and their technician. On December 20, 2017, we contacted Ms. [redacted] to let her know we could have the minor issue with the chair repaired. She agreed to the repair. We ordered the part and are awaiting their arrival. We have not heard from Ms. [redacted] since 12-20-2017. We will contact Ms. [redacted] to coordinate the repair provided by the techician when the part arrives. Thank you
