Uncle Jim's Worm Farm Reviews (10)

Uncle Jim's Worms are top shelf
I have been reading the reviews and I can't believe some of the reviews , I bought my first batch of worms several years ago in the heat of the summer in Texas . My worms came in to the post office well they delivered them to my mail box a tin hot house the worms were in that hot mail box several hours all the worms were not only dead they were cooked ! I did not blame Jim it was the post office fault I called Jim and told my story and they sent me another order free and I have since ordered several orders never have I had any problem.. I got so many worms if Jim ever needs some to fill orders just give me a shout . Jim's worms multiply like rabbits . and the bags the worms come in are good for a thousand things around the farm THANKS TO ALL THE FOLKS AT JIM'S

CAUTION NOT A REPUTABLE SOURCE OF WORMS. Horrible customer service. Crooks!

I love Uncle Jim's Worm Farm! I ordered a 360 Worm Farm and 4,000 red wigglers. My worms are lively and eating through my compost as we speak. Great customer service and fast delivery. Will definitely order again!

Hello,This issue was resolved when the customer contacted us letting us know that the first shipment of worms arrived dead. We had a reshipment mailed out to him on our next mailing date and he let us know that they arrived alive and well. I have attached all of the correspondence with the...

Hello [redacted],
[redacted] contacted us after he weighed his worms and received one pound rather than 2 pounds. If...

there is a discrepancy we do always reship free of charge. His product was re shipped to him free of charge with in the week that he complained. As far as I know he was happy with the reshipment as we have not heard from him since it arrived and he thanked us for is. He apologize for being brash.

Uncle Jim’s Worm Farm

To whom it may concern, The customer in question placed an order with us through our website on August 1, 2017, for 250 European nightcrawlers. His order was shipped on the 4th, which was the next scheduled shipping day after the placement of his order, and according to tracking the shipment...

arrived at his local post office on August 7th and was picked up on the 8th. He was charged $20.66 for the worms (including a 10% discount which he applied via coupon code) and $9.50 for shipping. On the 5th he called and spoke with one of our office staff to complain that he did not receive a free promotion of an extra 100 European nightcrawlers, which was part of a flash sale advertised via email to our newsletter list and ended on July 30th at midnight. Following that conversation, he sent an email expressing frustration that he had been asked when he placed his order, which I responded to on Monday (the 7th) when I came into the office. He did not reply to my email. On Tuesday the 8th he sent duplicate messages through the contact form on our website, which I didn’t respond to due to the contents, which were extremely troll-like and said nothing regarding the contents of his order. Apparently he also posted the same message multiple times on our company’s [redacted] page, and when that was discovered he was then blocked from the page to prevent him from posting more inappropriate comments. I’ve included the contents of the message/comments below. “I do hope Uncle Jim is enjoying his European vacation and all that he deserves for providing 40 +years of professional services and products. However some concerned persons should apprise him that the [redacted] he's left behind in charge of his business and communication affairs. .is turning his relationships and reputation into a small town monkeys and buck dancing clown show…I've seen a few things in 65 years on earth, ,but I've never seen or had a experience with [redacted] folks behaving like you are…They know how to treat customers and don't ignore their respective dues, debts and obligations as it seems that's what's happening at this time and of these circumstances. .Hurry Back Uncle Jimmy, , Your Ship is listing,,I do hope you have the best of luck with your own affairs.” Despite him being blocked from the page, I have been communicating with him via email from Thursday until today, trying to determine whether his complaint did in fact stem from the live product in his order being damaged or incomplete, but he has continued to hedge and will not say whether his worms arrived dead or what quantity of worms he received, only that they were dehydrated (which is a normal result of shipment and in most cases does not harm the worms at all) and he received half his order. He has not specified whether he received less than 250 European nightcrawlers or if the mis-count he is referencing is extra 100 worms that would have come with the batch had he ordered during the aforementioned flash sale. He has also expressed frustration that his worms were held at the post office; however, they were only held there due to an option he selected during the ordering process that requested them being kept there for pick-up. We have closed this situation on our end by simply refunding him for his order. We do have a live delivery guarantee, but in order to re-ship we need to know whether the worms arrived dead or alive, and we also reserve the right to ask for picture verification (something that was not requested in this case).    I have included our email correspondence from 8/10-8/11 below, and attached a screenshot of his order and files with the earlier emails from Saturday and Tuesday. Thank you for taking the time to review this complaint! Regards, Jan Uncle Jim’s Worm Farm       [redacted]                                   ... [redacted]                                   ... [redacted]                                   ... [redacted]                                   ... [redacted]   I appreciate you dialoguing with me. Because of the situation and the fact that there is no clear way to determine the state of the product delivered, we are opting to simply refund you the cost of your order. I am sorry for the frustration this whole situation has caused you, and hope that you are able to find a worm provider that satisfies your needs.   Regards, Jan Uncle Jim’s Worm Farm [redacted]     [redacted]

I had a great experience with Uncle Jim's Worm Farm. The worms arrived on time. And even though they staged a mass exodus, that was in MY environment. Eventually, with Uncle Jim's Worm Farm's help I figured things out and my worms are happy, health, reproducing, and most of all...staying put.

Really?!?) But my worm bin has been shipped
They never shipped the items on Monday due to it being a holiday which makes senseBut then why not ship them overnight Tuesday to make up for lost ground? Why are you waiting another week?Desired Settlement: Im getting sick of getting the run aroundIve lost over dollars waiting for this deliveryAnd now I have to take another day or off work totaling dollars in missed wagesThis is very frustrating!!

I am rejecting this response because:
It shouldn't take days for anything to leave out for delivery and this should be well displayed in the ordering processAnd my guess is it will take another 2-days to receive the itemsSo Ordering on the 23rd And receiving on the 7th of the month shouldn't be common practice
