Under Construction

We hired this company in June of The jobs were siding, new eaves troughs and metal cladding We are satisfied with the completed work The problem started when we paid in cash and with a car for the work that remained in early July We have talked on the phone a couple of times a week since then and always there was the promise that the work would be done It is mid December , three jobs left incomplete We are submitting this review to try to prevent someone else from having their money taken and going through this frustrating experience

Complaint"Under Construction" failed to comply with our contract in which they promised to fix the roof of my garage. On March 31, 2016, [redacted] and I, made a contract in which it clearly states that he would: Remove all old shingles, and install new shingles by April 2 or 3, 2016. For this service I paid a cash deposit of $800.00 on March 31, 2016 and it was decided that I would pay the remaining $500 when the roof is finished. After a couple of days, [redacted] asked for another $500 for the service and more supplies, which I paid for - and did not receive a receipt. I paid a total of $2,100 to [redacted], none of which I received a receipt for. I called countless times in March and April to ask of when he would fix the roof. He would either delay by promising to come around "tomorrow" or not receive my calls at all. Onge removed all of my garage shingles late June, two months after he promised to have the garage roof finished. After he removed the shingles, I was worried that my belongings in my garage would be ruined by the rain, and called [redacted] to get information on when he would install new shingles. [redacted] did not receive any of my calls and it has been a month since. My garage now is basically ruined. All my belongings inside my garage are wrecked -- resulting in thousands of dollars worth of damageYesterday, I received a "Order to Comply" letter from the City of Regina, ordering that I repair the roof of my garage by August 19. Had [redacted] complied with our contract, the roof of my garage would of have been fixed in April; instead, I'm out over $2,000 not including the thousands of dollars worth of damage done to my belongings inside my garage which I will have to rent a truck to remove and trash, and I'm left with a deteriorating garage. Desired SettlementI would like for "Under Construction" to finish the job and repair my garage roof, as promised by [redacted].
