On Aug 2013, a very congenial fellow helped my friends from KansasThey had lost their way and asked for directionsThe manager who was just closing up offered to personally escort them (going ahead of them in his own vehical) to our place which was over km trip for himI'd say that is going the second mile for someone

Up until July the owner of UTH had treated me well and fairlyOn July I brought him my new classic car, a Thunderbird, for a Safety inspection and Certificate, and to make any repairs he deemed necessaryHe did the inspection, told me what needed replacing or repairing and began searching for the correct partsWhen I came for the certificate on Aughe asked me for a deposit on the work and I paid him $The receipt showed the Inspection for $55, Frt& Rear (Brake) Shoes for $89.34, Fuel Pump for $398.30, Wheel Stud for $3.57, "Remove & install brakes" for $190, "Remove and install fuel pump" for $and "Fix flooring" for $500, for a total with taxes of $While he waited for what he thought was the correct fuel pump, he told me that his mechanic repaired a malfunctioning rear power window, repaired the nonworking horn and welded in sheets of metal to cover the holes he said were present in the floor pansAfter weeks he told me that he tried several fuel pumps but they wouldn't fit properlyI told him to phone the president of the ManThunderbird Club, who owns the same car, for advice, but he didn'tHe also never called me with updatesFinally, I sent him an email telling him truthfully how poorly he had treated me and my car and that I would be there on Septto tow the car awayWhen I arrived, I offered to pay the balance but he told me to just get out of there because he was angryWhile the President and I waited for the tow truck, we went to a parts dealer and got different fuel pumps and a coilWhen we got the car into my garage it took him only hours to install the parts and get the car runningA week later he did more work on the car, and our inspection found that the brakes had been replaced but the horn and rear window had not been repairedI have also inspected the floor pans from the front and both sides and could not see any evidence of repairsI therefore paid $for only $worth of work and a lot of aggravationBecause of my poor health, it is not worth my time and effort to take him to small claims court which he certainly deserves, but I hope I can help others avoid him
