Review: I towed my car in to the shop because it would not start. Underground autowerks diagnosed the car and found a bad starter and a couple bad wires. They said that they could fix the car for Approx. $800. I thought that was a bit overpriced but I needed the car fixed so I said ok. When it is done they call me to pick it up, so I do. The mechanic and owner, [redacted], is not there when I pick the car up. I am assured the car is fixed and the lady at the front desk tells me to pay while they pull the car around. I pay because I assume this place does good business. The car is pulled around and I hop in and go. I get four (4) miles up the road and my car dies and will not start. My car initially had problems starting but it has NEVER just died while driving. I call the shop, Underground Autowerks, because I just picked up the car and was hoping they could do what I payed them for and fix my car. I was told "It sounds like a new problem so we will not tow the car back here, you can tow it and we will diagnose the problem". At this point, I just spent $800 and was now stranded on the side of the road and Underground Autowerks did not even care. I felt like they did something to try to get more money out of me so I towed the car to the Mercedes Dealership. They informed me that the mechanics that fixed my starter and wiring used a Soldering iron to mount the wires to my cars wiring module, causing overheating of the computer and making it impossible to drive the car. It cost me another $985 to fix. This place did bad work and made me pay and would not assist in fixing their mistakes which in turn cost me almost two thousand dollars.Desired Settlement: I want my money refunded for the services. I will pay for the starter ($200) but I do not think I should be charged to have my car broken by a bad mechanic.

Hi,

No refunds on repairs or future service to this person. The customer refused to bring the vehicle back for inspection. There was no determination to varify complaint after previous repair. We have tried to communicate with the customer with no response. Our warranty covers the repair that was done at Underground Autowerks Inc. and needs to be repaired at this facility to cover it. The repair was performed correctly. The customer has already performed a reversal on his credit card foe the transaction and I request this case be closed and no reembursment will be done on my part.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

The fee reversal rebuttal [redacted] is claiming is just a ploy so that the Revdex.com will assume no refund is needed, my fee reversal was denied and Tim knows this. I essentially paid him to brake my car. I had just left his shop when I broke down and his response when I called was "already headed home, call me tomorrow". I requested a tow and was denied. Why would I bring my car back for warranty? What warranty? These guys soldered my wires to car wrong and my car's computer was overheating and shutting down my vehicle rendering it useless. Since I HAD to tow it MYSELF I chose to go see a Master Mechanic at the Dealership which is who informed me of what damage Underground Autowerks did to my car. This has cost me time and money and I need to be compensated. I expect $600 refunded out of the $800, I will pay for the starter but thats it. If the Revdex.com complaint is not enough to convince this guy to do good business then I will be contacting an attorney. Thank you.

Sorry, No refunds. I will be waiting for any lidigation process the customer may persue. In addition I'f anymore online slander from the customer and or brother I will pursue with the full extent of the law including court fees. I will no longer respond to this complaint and I want it closed.
