Review: First off, I hate taking this course of action but don't feel as I have much of an option as the shop stopped replying to text messages, emails and have not returned phone calls.I brought a rare, vintage, L-shaped steel desk to have this shop refurbish on Saturday, August 3, 2013. I brought it to an autobody shop as these types of desks have been refurbished in these types of facilities before, being made of steel. I sent several photos of the desk well in advance and spoke to the shop manager about the look I wanted. I was told by the shop manager that it would take about a month to complete, as they had other projects ahead of mine etc. I prepaid for the work per the agreement the shop manager and I made.Long story short, it has been six months and I still don't have my desk. The shop manager said he felt so bad, that they would deliver it for free. In the last few weeks, the shop manager got frustrated with me asking a couple of times per week for an update, and gave me the contact information for his assistant. His assistant was responsive for the first week and since then has not responded to the multiple text messages and voicemails I have left.I have found the person who claims to own the shop on Facebook and have sent him two emails chronicling the above and asking for assistance but I have not received a reply.Desired Settlement: I want them to repair and refurbish the desk in a timely fashion per the manner in which we agreed upon months ago.
