Review: I had an appointment for a full body wax at Uni K Wax Center in Astoria, NY. My appointment was for 5:30PM but I was taken in at 6:05PM. I understand that the business was short of staff. A waxing technician was called from another location, Bay Ridge Brooklyn. (This is the technician that waxed me.) I was taken for my appointment at 6:05PM to wax my under arms, [redacted], full legs and Brazilian wax. I had my under arms waxed, [redacted] done, my full legs were not completed, my Brazilian wax was butchered. My bikini top strip was completely uneven,it looks horrible. I have wax residue on my body that will not come off even after I bathed. Due to the wax, parts of my body are red & irritated. Uni K Wax Center's website claims that there method of waxing saves time & hair is pulled out from the root. If this is so, then why is my body not smooth and extremely pkly. The reason for this is because they were not pulled out by the root. The wax that is supposedly natural has irritated me completely. My receipt claims that I arrived at 7:00PM and my [redacted] took 15 minutes, the strip on my stomach took 5 minutes, and my Brazilian bikini back and front took 15 minutes and my under arms 5 minutes. The receipt is not accurate. Please note, that my appointment started at 6:05 and I left the wax center at 9:35PM. I expressed to the staff that my appointment took a very long time and certain body parts were not done.The staff barely had a reaction, I called the next day to speak to a manager or a boss.(This was unsuccessful) The best they could do for me is charge me $15.00 to fix my legs and my bikini! This is unprofessional and wrong. I did not get the services I paid for. I will not be going back for something a razor could do faster and better. On top of that, I won't have red painful patches, large patches or hair that are haven't been removed and trails of wax residue all over!Desired Settlement: I would like a refund. I have wasted my time and hard earned money on hair that was not properly removed. My skin is irritated and hurts and hair was not professionally and successfully removed as claimed. I am requesting: $10.00 for my [redacted] $5.00 lower strip on stomach $43.00 Brazilian back and front $13.00 Underarms $55.00 Full legs $15.00 Inner Thigh I greatly appreciate your help. Thank you.

As requested and as per our conversation earlier today, please consider this Uni K wax's response to the Revdex.com for customer complaint ID#[redacted], received from our loyal Uni K ax customer [redacted]. Following receipt of this complaint from the Revdex.com, our Astoria center manager, [redacted] contacted our customer [redacted] and offered her to return to our Astoria center to receive complimentary services for the inconveniences she was caused on her previous visit to this Uni K Wax center. [redacted] suggested that [redacted] give another chance to Uni K Wax center and allow us to rectify this bad experience she had on her previous visit. [redacted] agreed to return to the center after Labor day holiday and accepted the complimentary services offer instead of wanting a refund as originally requested in her complaint to the Revdex.com.

[redacted] said she would contact the Astoria center upon her return from vacation and give Uni K Wax a chance to rectify this unpleasant incident. I will confirm back to you what date and time of the new appointment for [redacted] once she calls us after Labor Day and books new complimentary services appointment.
