go into the belt tensioner housing removed or disturbed. Visual inspection showed they looked new, in good condition and were not leaking.  When the customer towed the vehicle back, we found one of the plastic elbow heater hose was cracked. Once the elbow heater hose was removed we could see deterioration on the inside walls. The deterioration could have been caused by the car overheating or just age. Even though we did not cause the problem, we replaced the elbow heater hoses at no labor charge to the customer. The customer supplied plastic elbow heater hoses which Howard spoke to the customers husband that we would recommend replacing with the metal elbow heater hoses for a better repair. The customers husband said that would be fine. At this point I have gone above and beyond to make an unfortunate situation better. The customer did not want to listen or even try to understand the circumstances of the failure. I have attached copies from Alldata for both original repairs which show no reason to take off or disturb the elbow heater hoses.
