On June 13 I purchased a 140.00 pair of sanita nursing shoes, after only wearing them for a few hours I had to take them off because they were so uncomfortable. On June 15 I returned to the store (with my original receipt) to exchange the shoes for another pair that might would of been more comfortable for me to wear to work. The assistant manager stated she didn't see anything wrong with shoes but she would have to call her manager to make sure it would be ok for me to exchange them for another pair. After the assistant manager called her manager she told her that the shoes were still in good condition and I wasn't asking for any money back all I wanted was to trade them out. The manger refused to let me trade them out because I had worn them for a few hours. After I went home over the next day or two I went on their website and read their return Policy which clearly states that if a customers is not 100% satisfied with their purchased they have 30 days to return it. I then called the owner of the company and explained to him what was going on and expressing to him I did not want my money back at all, all I wanted was an evenly exchanged, he then started to become very rude and nasty with me. After I saw that I wasn't getting any where with him I asked to speak to someone over him he then yelled and told me I cant speak to anyone because its his business! 140.00 is a lot of money to spend on a pair of shoes! Business Response On June 15th this customer came into the store and told one of our manager's that she had worn the shoes to work and they hurt her feet and wanted to exchange the shoes. The manager had already explained to her before purchasing shoes days before to wear them inside and walk around to make sure they worked so if need to be returned they will be in original condition. So when the customer tried to exchange she did not like the fact that due to our store policy if you have worn the shoes we can not take them back she then became very upset and wanted the owners phone number. I am the owner and my office is at another location, she called my office on June 17th and started saying that our website said we would take something back in 30 days for any reason. If you go to our website www.uniformsgalore.com returns policy it clearly says in original condition. I continued to try to tell the customer that if she would send the shoes back to the store and let me look at them I would try to help her out. She would not let me speak and kept on repeating what she claimed the website said about returns. I again tried to tell her but could not get a word in that the store would send to my office and I would look at them and call her if I could take them back and exchange. She stated she had paid $140 for the shoes and she was not going to leave them at the store. She wanted me to give her an answer over the phone since she had already been to the store and one of our managers had already looked at them. When she did not get the answer she wanted about returning shoes she said she wanted to talk to someone else in charge. I told her I was the owner and she began to tell me to stop yelling at her which I was not. She then put her mother on the phone because she claimed that I was rude and yelled at her. As for yelling that is not the case, the customer was not happy with our policy and would not let me talk to tell her that I would try and help her out if she could just send me the shoes so I can see them. Her mother and myself continued to go back and forth saying the same things over and over and then her mother hung up on me. Our policy is if you have worn the shoes we can not take them back if not in original condition, so normally if you have worn them to work that is not original condition. I was trying to help this customer but it was not in the timeframe she was happy with. If they simply would have sent the shoes to my office I would have tried to help her out and would have already had this resolved by now.
