I brought my car in there to fix my passenger side window After 2 days of the guy not contacting us we called them and asked whats going on and he said that we are missing some clips to hold the window and that he is not carrying them in his shop and we'll have to order them from another placeWe looked everywhere and finally found it and ordered it We tried to take our car for a week and the guy kept saying that the door is tooked apart and we can pick it up tomorrow and it took a whole week!We called him yesterday morning and told him to get it ready because the parts wont be in for another week and we'll pick it up and bring it back with the partsHe said ok but you gotta pay me 75$ for me opening it up and cleaning the broken glass ad closing itSounds logical so we went there and payed him that money before we even got the chance to see the car When we did get the car back we saw that he didnt do anything except opening it upThere was still broken glass inside the door and he didnt close itWhen we tried to ask him to close it up he refused and we toldhim to get our money back because he didnt do it he didnt !Desired SettlementI want to get those 75$ back as he didnt do the job and just kept my car in his shop for no reason !Business Response This is in response to the complaint from [redacted], We have no record of the plaintiff in our computers. The complainant was never the contact person that we had. We know of the vehicle that the complainant is talking about but a young man brought the vehicle in. We had contact with the young man at all time and he was always kept informed as to what was happening with his vehicle. As for getting money back that will not be something that we will do as the vehicle sat in our secure facility for days as not to have any further damages. While the customer was going to pick up the parts need to finish the job. Then 2 days later he made contact that the parts will be in a week. So he wanted his vehicle while he waits for parts we informed the individual that the car was not reassembled and he gave the ok to just leave it due to it coming back to get the window installed. There was no argument about the money he was charged for the replacement window, The performed labour to open the door with storage also we started to clean glass out of door but thought to leave it until he comes back . He offered to pay for the installation as well we responded with "we would prefer him pay for installation when we complete the work". There was no other problems brought to our attention in any conversations by the customer. [redacted]Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)You kept the car in the shop for nearly 2 weeks saying that its ok to keep it there until the parts to come inWe were never informed that he's going to charge us for keeping it in thereAs for the part saying we gave the ok to keep the car open is not true [redacted] called in the morning of that day sayin he'll be picking it up and they told him ok we'll put the door together.Later on that day we called again askin if its ready and they told us that the door is still apart and we got annoying and said just give us the car backWhen we pick it up we never were told that we're being charged for the car being thereOnly told that we are charged for the car door being opened and cleaned from the glass that was there.only after we paid we were alowed to see the car and [redacted] saw it wasnt cleaned up from the glass what so ever. And because of that when we tried to fix the window outselfs later the rail broke because tgere was glass in itWe had to buy that part as well.

Complaint[redacted]When I called to make an appointmnet, I noted that even though I had called previously to update our address, we received coupons and a reminder notice that our rust protection inspection was due, to our old address. By the time it was redirected, the coupons had expired. I spoke to [redacted] who basically told me too bad. He said they were busy enough now and wouldn't honour the coupons. [redacted] I asked why we didn't receive any correspondance to our new address. He said it wasn't him that I talked to regarding updating the address casue he would have done it properly. Upon arriving at the business, I explained I was there to get the diamont coat reapplied to the front end of my vehicle. The vehicle had been in an accident and the hood and side panels had been replaced. I also requested that they inspect the undercarrriage to ensure the undercoating had not been damaged and to reapply the rust protection to the new panels. This all was approved previously by my SGI adjustor. The manager, [redacted], [redacted] told me that he wold not under any circumstances start any work until he verbally got confirmation that SGI was going to pay for the service. I told him it was and that I would call him once back at the office with the number of the adjustor. [redacted] Upon picking up the vehicle we discovered that we were being charged for a reaaplication of the rust proofing for the entire vehicle and not just the new panels and hood. When we protested and said that the reapplication to the entire vehcile was not necessary as it was just done a few months prior (we discovered that is wasn't done properly the last time) [redacted]. He insisted the work needed to be done as it was a few month since the last application even though it is a service supposed to be inspecetd and reapplied annually. He refused to charge the reapplication to SGI. [redacted]. [redacted]. He would not give us our vehicle until we paid the $85 reappliation fee. As we were waitng outside for our vehilce to be brought to us from the shop, the owner arrived and we spoke to him. [redacted] deducted that there was a miscommunication about what was to be done and said he would refund us the money. When I called back to see if a refund was processed, he refused. Desired Settlementwritten apology and refundBusiness Response I have reviewed the complaint of the customer and have asked that after getting both sides of the situation that occurred I will be inviting the customer to not come back. [redacted] I had made mention to the customer that I would look in to assisting them with the rust inspection claim to go to SGI but upon hearing the full incident from both sides will not be aiding with that. I hope that this satisfies the customer complaint and wish them all the best in the future.
