It is obvious that all of information I have submitted is relevant to her case; however she does not want to hear the facts. All of the information supports that [redacted] claim is frivolous and not justified. We have paid her compensation and we have offered to test the wood to prove that her claim is frivolous. It appears by rejecting our offer that she is not even willing to allow the wood to be tested as she knows she will not get her way when the test prove negative. I have been to her home and spoke with her several times during the installation process. She has also spoke to other members of our staff in person and has not taken our offer to view all of the documents we have to refute her claim. She only comprehends what she wants to hear. All of the documented evidence supports this is not an issue with our wood. Even her inspector has stated he will revise his report as solid hardwood is not a known source of formaldehyde. Her last response is significantly different than her first request. We will come to her home and tear out the hardwood in her bedroom ONLY. We will reimburse her for the hardwood in her bedroom ONLY. We will still have the hardwood tested at our expense. She can go anywhere she wants besides our store to get her new flooring as we will exercise our right to refuse future sales to her

The following response is copied in part from the email that we sent the customer on 4/14/2018. It should be noted we have had several phone and email conversations between April 3rd and April 14th. We were notified on April 3rd of the complaint.......As I shared on Thursday, I am
sending this email to document our conversationI will begin by repeating what I have learned in the last couple of days. As I shared, I did not know your symptoms continued after we shared with you the response from the hardwood manufacture when our staff recontacted you following your original suggestion that something with the hardwood in your bedroom was making you sickI learned on Thursday that you have been continuously speaking with the manufacturer of Appalachian Hardwood during the last two monthsIt is hard for us to work towards a resolution when we do not know a situation persistsThis is supported by the fact I sent you an email response over a week ago and did not receive a reply. I contacted your daughter in an attempt to reach you and you admitted you received that message but did not recontact me. I first learned of your continued symptoms after receiving the air quality report that your daughter emailed to our store on April 3, 2018, two days before you filed a complaint with the Revdex.com.I expressed in a previous mail response that I confirmed with our suppliers that formaldehyde was not used in the manufacturing of any products we used in your homeI have extensive documents to prove that position. I further shared a significant flaw in the air quality report that suggests you remove your “pre-engineered hardwood floor” as it is a potential cause of the formaldehydeI advised you that you do not have a “pre-engineered hardwood” as we installed a “solid hardwood” per your request. Upon speaking with your privately hired air quality inspector, he admitted he noted the "pre-engineered flooring" in error and further agreed that "solid hardwood" is not a known source of formaldehyde emission.Further, you explained that you had no other remodel work done at your homeOur installation crew is aware of a wall that was demolished and removed near your kitchenDrywall repair that was necessary as a result of this demolitionNew concrete that was poured at your residence. A sewer/water line that was damaged and collapsed during construction, and termite damage that was to be addressed by chemicals at the time of hardwood installation. This directly conflicts your statement to your inspector and the hardwood manufacturer. Every expert I have spoken to agrees that it is virtually impossible for solid hardwood that is finished in North America to emit formaldehyde. As I discussed Thursday, all of the documentation I have supporting our claim is available for you to view. All of the experts I have spoken to that support our position are available for you to conference withWith all of this evidence supporting our position that it is not possible for your hardwood to be emitting formaldehyde at the level your home is contaminated, you continue to publicly state that we sold you a hardwood floor that is emitting formaldehyde and making you sickThat is unnecessary and slanderous. As I have stated several times, I am sorry you are sickI do not doubt that you have formaldehyde emission in your homeI am confident with the overwhelming evidence that we have obtained that your air quality has no correlation to your hardwood floor. We contacted the National Hardwood Floor Association and they suggested there are two laboratory facilities in the United States that conduct tests for formaldehyde emissionI confirmed this in a conversation with your air quality inspector. As I shared with you I do not feel a test is warranted with the documented evidence, however you have made it clear you remain convinced the hardwood floor in your bedroom is what is making you sickYou have repeatedly stated that your bedroom is the only room that is affected and that makes you sickYour inspector told me he only tested the air in your bedroom because you explained to him that was the only area that made you sick and “that was all you paid for”. You also stated if the hardwood was tested and proven to not be emitting formaldehyde, that you would accept the results of the test. Two sources have estimated the cost of the test to range from $to $To this point we have waived the restocking fee on the carpet that you refused to pay for you after you ordered it, as a courtesy(We still have it in our warehouse and will never recover our costs) We have financially compensated you (the amount you requested) for your inconvenience during the installation process. As I stated on Thursday, we will now make sure you are not liable for the cost of the test to confirm your hardwood is not emitting formaldehyde at the level of your issue. We have done everything we can to accommodate your requests and demands during this process, when we learned of themWe have contacted one of the laboratories as discussed above on the West CoastThey have agreed to send me information on the sampling procedures to insure the chain of custody on the samples is preserved. I am sharing all of this in writing as you became so upset on Thursday you terminated our callFurther, as I explained on Thursday, I do not want anything I say misrepresented. In closing I am asking you to agree to allow the hardwood floor in your home to be tested by an independent laboratory to eliminate the hardwood as the source of the formaldehyde at no expense to you. As you have stated, you agree to accept the results of the test and drop this unjustified complaint against our Company if the hardwood floor proves to be clear of the formaldehyde emission to your level. In good conscious I again ask that you cease slandering our business as there is no evidence to support your claim and significant evidence to refute it. You should be on notice that you are liable for your statements...........This email was submitted in part to the customer on 4/14/2018. I received a reply that they were unavailable for days to address my response. As of 4/30/2018, I have not heard from them. I would like to further note the customer hired an independent air quality inspector who noted (13) other potential sources of formaldehyde other than "pre-engineered wood". As I noted, the customer does not have "pre-engineered wood" installed in their home. We installed "solid hardwood" which is not a known source of formaldehyde recognized by the EPA. The inspector further recommended they ventilate their home to reduce the level of formaldehyde as it will dissipate into the air with time. To our knowledge they have made no attempts to follow the recommendations of their inspectorRegards,*** ***Union Furniture Company, Inc

I am rejecting this response because:
Due to *** identifying facts that has not barring on my case, I have identified that he has no idea of my main issue. I have only been concerned with the hardwood that was from a different batch that may have caused the formaldehyde in the air in my bedroom.*** has never actually talked to me in person or walked through my house to evaluate the issues I have. He only emailed denial responses and one phone conversation that caused me emotional distress.Due to these facts, I am now seeking other means to resolve my issues
Sincerely,
