Union Gospel Mission

In speaking concerning the Women's Division of the Union Gospel Mission of Dallas, TexasI was new to Dallas, Texas and have exhausted current funding on a hotel for me and my child when someone referred me to this place for assistanceI initially thought that this place was good because it is a Christian facility, conducive to single women and their children, providing up to days of shelter, breakfast, dinner and health servicesUltimately, what I found to be fact was that they discriminated against people, denied resourceful services, criticized and degraded single women in front of their children, kicked mothers out and their children regardless of the situation with no second chance of returning, lied and falsely accused those that did not violate any rules or standards to the facility, covered up for violation of a married, male chaplin sleeping with a client staying in the facility during his shift and continual sexual harassment against some others As an Christian facility and outreach Ministry that were suppose to be uplifting, re-establishing women in society to where they can transition independently into their own homes with their children; it was just the oppositeA disgrace to our community with no genuine intention on helping those in need
