Review: On Jan **, 2015 I received a past due notice from Doctor [redacted]'s office for physical therapy that occurred in Feb 2011. This balance was unknown to me so I left messages for the [redacted], [redacted], on Jan [redacted], and ** 2015. She never called me back but I finally got ahold of her on Jan ** 2015. I said I was unaware of this balance and requested more info and a copy of the dates of service since I no longer carry that insurance policy from 2011. I also told the [redacted] that this was the first time I had received this notice. [redacted] said she had taken over billing from the previous person and said they documented all the mailed attempts to get in touch with me since 2011. I pointed out that I have had the same phone number for over 10yrs and no one has called me regarding this balance nor had anyone said there was an issue when I paid my co-pays after each visit in 2011. Their office claims that insurance only paid for 2 out of 4 visits. I assured [redacted] that I would contact my former insurance company as soon as I received her copies detailing the office visits. I did not receive those copies for an additional week. I called the office again on Feb * and * 2015 asking for confirmation that [redacted] mailed the claims in question. She never called me back. Once I finally received the forms, I contacted my former insurance provider. They said claims before 2012 are archived and they would need 2 weeks to access that information. Before I could relay this information to [redacted] I received a notice from their office that they turned me over to collections, their lawyer would be in contact and my credit affected. Immediately I called [redacted]'s office. [redacted] and I argued over why she sent me to collections when I was doing everything I could to get the bill resolved. She said I was disrespectful to be angry and I can take it up with collections then hung up on me. I tried to call [redacted] yet he won't speak to me.Desired Settlement: That they cease all pursuit of collections and/or lawsuits against me andallow me to resolve this in a timely manner with my former insurance company. Jan ** 2015 is the first I have learned of their past due balance from Feb 2011.Even though I have communicated that to them they are aggressively pursing delinquent payment yet I'm doing everything possible to get it resolved.
