Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:This business was well informed I had two furnaces and two air conditioning units.  I explained the upstairs unit was not providing cool air.  I find it interesting they remember some of the conversation but not the parts that would be charging more. The commercial clearly stated no service fee, but when I called I was told an $80.00.  Upon arrival of the technician I was told another $80.00 fee due to having two air conditioners.  Then after looking at the units and speaking to the technician about all the work he listed I attempted to schedule a service repair since they stated the $160.00 would go toward the repair work.  I asked if some of the work could be done now since I previously asked if they carried parts in their trucks so work could be performed that day.  I was told on the phone they did, but then the technician stated he could not do the work because there was duct work involved.  I again asked him to repair the air conditioning unit and we could worry about the duct work later.  He told me someone would call to schedule an appointment.  There was no mention of additional fees.  A few minutes later my mother-in-law called to stated the technician was trying to charge her an additional $125.00 for his time.  I immediately spoke to the technician and told him we would not be giving them anymore money until the units were repaired.  I never received a call from the company to schedule the repair.  The only reason they called me the next day was because I filed a complaint with the Revdex.com.  The owner agreed in the conversation the technician should not have tried to charge the extra $125.00.  I told the owner I no longer trusted his company and wanted my additional $80.00 fee refunded since that was not the initial agreement when I scheduled the appointment.  He agreed to refund the $80.00, which he did.  However he continued to argue wanting me to schedule an appointment.  I told him I did not trust his business and no longer wanted to discuss them performing any work.  I finally had to hang up to terminate the call.  An hour and half later the owner called and left me a voice message to call him.  I attempted to call, but received no answer.  In my complaint I asked the business to stop all contact.  I have since had another air conditioning company come to my house.  They reviewed the estimate of repair work from Unique Heating and Air and told me I did not need several items listed in their $2657.19 repair bill. They wanted to charge $500.00 for a refrigerant evacuation and recharge, which is only an $80.00 fee within the industry.   I also did not need new duct work.  I have also spoken to several neighbors within my community that have the same style of house and none of them have had to replace their duct work.  It is clear this business is providing false advertising, attempting to add additional fees once they arrive, and then quoting items  in their estimates that do not need repair.  This business should not have an A+ rating and should be looked into further.
Sincerely,

We did Complete the Job when we installed the Evap coil and there was some miscommunication between ([redacted]) my technician and the owner ([redacted]) on the leak in the King valves. So when our work was done everything was working at that time.A couple months Later [redacted] had called us to inform us that the...

Ac unit was not working so I sent another Technician out to look at the system and the same thing that [redacted] stated was the king valves were leaking and there was no Freon in the system.  We do have a 1 year warranty on All Parts and Labor for the work that we did but on this particular unit the Ac unit was over 15 years old and really should have been replaced.  So I Tried to Explain to [redacted] that we are 100% Responsible for the Evap coil and labor  work done by us and that the old existing outdoor unit had nothing to do with us.  So there was a big Miscommunication on both ends on the warranty part of this and it got blown out of  Per-portion by email.    We did have a face to face conversation and were able to work this problem out after this review was posted. I am Very fair with all of my customers that is why we have such great review's. So I did offer him a parochial refund in order to make him happy and being as fair as I can. So now we have another Happy and satisfied customer.   This issue was resolved between the two of us...     Thank you

We received a call from [redacted] on 04/04/2017 she had stated she had one A/C unit that wasn't working properly and had had 3 other heating and air conditioning companies out that couldn't fix the problem with her unit.so I think she is frustrated with HVAC...

contractor's and we got the short end of the deal.... I told [redacted] that it would be an $80.00 service charge if she did not go with us for the repair's to diagnose the problem with her unit and we have ton's parts on the vehicles and could possibly fix the unit same day. When the technician arrived at [redacted] house it turns out she had 2 A/C units which she never stated on the phone call we had. She told the technician she wanted both units serviced and fixed. So she was charged her an extra $80.00 fee since there were 2 A/C units at this property. Its $80.00 per unit. We would've had told her this if we had known how many units were at this property. the technician had diagnosed the problem which was not having enough return air to supply enough air to the whole house and in order to get this fixed she cant just add freon to the unit to make it work. She needed the return air added to make it work properly. We do not carry return air drops on the vehicles that is an installation part which needs to be specially ordered. Our technician was at her property for over 3 hours explaining everything to [redacted]. We only charged [redacted] 1 hour of the 3 hours he spent at her house which was $125.00 plus the 2 $80.00 services fees per unit. the technician also explained to her that the time charged and 2 service fees would be applied to the final cost of fixing everything so shes not being charged in many different directions like she is stating. Our technician told [redacted] someone would be calling either that afternoon or next morning to set up a a time to come out and make the repairs. The next morning I saw [redacted] wrote these reviews she did not give us anytime to get this on the schedule. I've tried numerous times to contact [redacted] to correct any miscommunication  and explain to her whats going on with her units and have gotten no response besides these complaint's We also sent her a $80.00 Refund as I told her I would for the miscommunication which was sent out 4/7/17.. Were upset about this situation. We strive to take care of our customers and make sure they are satisfied and happy. This is the 1st and only negative review we have had since we started Unique Heating in the past 10 year's.  [redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
