In Response to the complaint: It is clearly stated in the email sent to Mrs [redacted] that we were charging her for "1" foot TruckWhen our movers showed up on moving day they noticed there were more boxes then originally estimated, Our movers did their best they could in packing the move truckWe held on to the remainder of the items to coordinate with another move to ship the load that way Mrs [redacted] called in and wanted her items shipped asapWe gave her a quoted price of $to do so and did not receive a responseAfter a few days passing Mrs [redacted] declined the chargeWe then decided to hire a 3rd party (at our expense) Instead of following the move contract which consisted of (one foot truck)All in hopes of resolving this issue, We thought the customer would be happy and we would be able to keep Unique Moving in good standing and with positive reviewsBy contract the cost which we quoted for shipping and crating could have been passed to the customerThe pallet consists of 30-boxes, No furniture or heavy items involvedAfter absorbing the shipping cost, the actual total came to $475.00, After be weighedWe thought the least Mrs [redacted] could do would be to unpack the items herself or coordinate one labor for 20-minof work to unpack the shipmentWe have proof of charges upon requestThank you, Unique Moving, Inc

noticed there were more boxes then originally estimated, Our movers did their best they could in packing the move truck. We held on to the remainder of the items to coordinate with another move to ship the load that way. 
Mrs. [redacted] called in and wanted her items shipped asap. We gave her a quoted price of $375.00 to do so and did not receive a response. After a few days passing Mrs. [redacted] declined the charge. We then decided to hire a 3rd party (at our expense) Instead of following the move contract which consisted of (one 26 foot truck). All in hopes of resolving this issue, We thought the customer would be happy and we would be able to keep Unique Moving in good standing and with positive reviews.
By contract the cost which we quoted for shipping and crating could have been passed to the customer. The pallet consists of 30-35 boxes, No furniture or heavy items involved. After absorbing the shipping cost, the actual total came to $475.00, After be weighed. We thought the least Mrs. [redacted] could do would be to unpack the items herself or coordinate one labor for 20-30 min. of work to unpack the shipment.
We have proof of charges upon request.

Review: Moving company provided an estimator (company owner) to give us a price to move from Camarillo, CA to Washington. First estimate I received was $6985. Items would be picked up in Camarillo on 3/14/15 and delivered to Washington on 3/17/15. After hearing horror stories from family and friends, I asked for a firm price and received a "not to exceed price" of $7325 from this company, same estimator. I also purchased additional insurance for $150.On Saturday, 3/14/15 a 26' U-Haul truck arrived with 3 movers. All our belongings did not fit in the truck provided by Unique Moving. I was told that the rest of the items would be put on a pallet and shipped up to Washington. On 3/19/15 I Emailed the company to ask for tracking info on the pallet. The pallet had not shipped and Unique Moving offered to expedite the shipping of the pallet for $375 more.I called on 3/31/15 to inquire about the shipment and get tracking info. No tracking info was provided but the person on the phone assured me that it was in its way but the pallet would be dropped at the end of the driveway and we would have to unload it ourselves.The contract specifically states "Full Service Move, Free loading and unloading" As a consumer, I have to rely on a professional to estimate the size of the truck needed. If all items do not fit, it would be the responsibility of the company to deliver the rest of our belongings in a timely manner and provide movers to deliver those items inside the house. Delivery date on the contract is 3/17/15. It is 3/31/15 and we are still waiting for the rest of our belongs. Unique Moving has not contacted us even once about the problem, I have called or Emailed them with inquiries to get any information at all.Desired Settlement: Missing items delivered to the interior of our home within 5 business days.
