Review: This was a new nail salon opened where my previous salon was. I had a manicure and pedicure. Tried to pay. The window clearly states [redacted], **. I was told no, only cash. I offered to write a check. Was told no, cash only. They said not to worry, I could pay next time I came in. Much to my disappointment the manicure did not last 12 hours. I was extremely upset. Went out of town for the 4th. A week goes by, my ex husband calls complaining that an Asian man showed up At his house demanding money. I called the owner and inquired why he said "I could pay next time" and several days later he was driving to collect? I then tried to talk to him about the quality of the manicure. How disappointed I was. That $50 was too much for something that was inferior in quality. He shouted pay or I'll call the police. I said as a business man, hoping to have repeat business he should be concerned about quality. He said if I didn't come pay immediately, he would call the police. I told him I was 45 minutes away at work and did not believe I should have to pay $50. He would not accept credit card. He hung up on me. I was next called by the police who said if I did not show up in 5 minutes to pay, a warrant would be issued for my arrest. I explained it was posted credit cards were accepted and I was TOLD to pay when I came in again. Not by a deadline. I told the officer I was 45 minutes away. He said 5 or warrant. I'm an accountant. I can't have any legal issues. I had to have my sons boss take the money over. Not only is the business misrepresenting their payment methods, insisting on CASH only! the service was truly a complete waste of money. I have NEVER seen a business operate this way. I'm going to be contacting the TV stations, the Attorney General and the sales tax authorities. I DONT want to see others be taken in and mislead! harassed and arrested for a manicure. I deserve a refund for the inferior service. This company is completely unprofessional and dangerous. Please help!!Desired Settlement: I would like a partial refund. I would also like the businesses payment policies investigated. My minor children were home when this unstable man showed up at their fathers house. I wold have paid at services but they would not accept it. I was NOT given a deadline to pay. Being arrested was unnecessary. The salon's quality, cleanliness are also an issue.
