Review: I ordered a ring that was supposed to fit an 8mm stone. the stone fell right through, meaning they sent me the wrong size. I am the office manager of Unique Settings of New York. After speaking with you, [redacted], President of Unique Settings of New York, asked me to write you this email on his behalf regarding the case number

#[redacted]. First, I would like to inform you that, [redacted] called and left a message and our client [redacted] did not return his call.

Unique Settings of New York is a catalog based company. We do print all the information about all of our products in our catalogs so there won't be any confusion about our styles. We also include all of our policies on our web site and in our catalogs so there won't be any misunderstanding about any of our policies.

Secondly, all of our calls do get recorded for training and quality purposes. If you listen to the recording, you will hear this customer is totally trying to get away from our restocking fee policy by creating different stories and very rudely insulting our employee. We do not have a memo service; every order gets done as a special order.

We do proudly manufacture everything in the United States on our premises therefore we don't keep stock, we manufacture as the orders come in. The explanation he is giving to Revdex.com is that our style was in correct, but in the meantime he is telling our Customer Service Representative that; “I was not sure if my stone was going to fit in the mounting.” It appears that he wanted to take the ring show it to his client and then return it without any penalty.

We are requesting full payment on this and we will take every legal action to collect what this client owes to Unique Settings of New York.

I just left you a message about the second letter I received from you guys about this matter. In the email that [redacted] send you we also attached the recording between [redacted] and my customer service rep.. It is very clear how the order was placed and how rude he is to my rep. My company services 14,000 retail jewelers since 1999. I never had a complaint about my styles and stone not fitting a ring. If he does not know what he is supposed to order, I have no way of knowing the size of his stone and we send him what he requests. All orders as explained in my catalog are final sales and if the customer wants to return an item they have to pay for restocking fee. When I receive the item back from the customer since it is not something that I can put it back on the shelf, I melt it and restocking fee covers my expenses.
