*** *** *** * *** I will not give them a second chance to screw me over The work should of been done right the first time and I should not of been over charged for time my vehicle was not being worked on I had to get a rental for the time that they had my car and I will not pay for another rental How many other people have you screwed over?????? I want a refund!!!!!

Case no***Mr*** came to our dealership to purchase a new Subaru. At the time the car that Mr*** bought was already sold to another dealership. The mistake that we made was not marking it sold. If we had done this, this problem would have never occurred. We
offered to locate a vehicle for Mr*** and told him that it would have about miles on it. This was not acceptable to Mr***. We then offered to order a vehicle for Mr*** and he stated that he did not want to wait. We will certainly be glad to try to locate or order a vehicle for Mr***Thank you,*** ***

This offer is unacceptable because the promotion I received (see attached) showed that my scratch off number next to the $[redacted] cash award matched the preprinted numbers at the top of the promo.  I know that the promo said that actual award was determined by the PIN and that there were only 10 winners of the $[redacted] prize - but NOTHING suggested that a matching scratch off for the $[redacted] award could be replaced by a $*.00 award.  This was an extremely deceptive promo and if this is the way that Brown conducts its business I would never trust them to purchase a $[redacted]+ vehicle with them.  Accordingly, their offer to provide me with a $[redacted] "certificate" toward the purchase of a vehicle would lead me to believe that there would be a similar "free out" for Brown that would make the "certificate" worth $*.00 - or worse.  As their deceptive promo shows, Brown Automotive is NOT to be trusted.

Brown Automotive apologizes for any misunderstanding this promotion may have caused.  We've been in business for 35 years and value our relationship with the community and our customers.  The most recent promotion that we ran called Strike it Rich, required the customer to call a certain...

phone number.  Under the phone number, it states "your pin determines actual prize awarded".  (This is not in small print)  Number 5 on the mailer states there are only 10 winners for $[redacted].  At the bottom of the mailer there is a consumer disclosure stating the odds of winning any prices.  Again, we apologize for any misunderstanding that this may have caused.  I will be glad to offer a certificate of $[redacted] towards the purchase of any new or used vehicle.

[redacted] Jeep [redacted], VIN# [redacted], came to us on 9/20/2017 with the concern that the vehicle cuts off while driving intermittently.  We inspected the vehicle for any trouble codes that may be stored or active upon arrival and there were no codes present in the system.  We...

inspected the transmission fluid at arrival to see if it was burnt or low and no abnormal conditions were found with the fluid.  After the initial inspection was performed and no problems were found, we obtained permission from the owners to have a technician drive the vehicle home who lives ~30 miles away from the dealership.  The technician had the flight recorder, which is a device that records data from all the modules in the vehicle, hooked to the vehicle so that if any of the symptoms that the customer described began occurring we could record the readings off all the different modules to compare against the data charts the Jeep provides.  During the test drive the technician performed, no symptoms the customer described occurred while the technician drove the vehicle and no trouble codes populated either.  The second test drive was performed by the service manager who lives ~70 miles one way from the dealership.  He drove the vehicle for a total of ~140 miles with the flight recorder hooked to the vehicle and none of the symptoms the customer described occurred during the test drive and no trouble codes populated during the drive either.  A final test drive was performed for ~20 miles with the flight recorder hooked to the vehicle and none of the symptoms occurred nor did any trouble codes populate. I explained to the customer that a re-purchase from FCA is not applicable at this time since the concern the customer is having cannot be duplicated and no repair attempts have been made since the condition they are describing is still yet to be duplicated.

The Estimate that Ms [redacted] had written for her was indeed an "Estimate".  Times may vary from less to more.  When we scheduled her in we again gave her and "estimated" completion date.  This can also change from an earlier date to an extended date. The Estimate that Ms [redacted] received...

was written as part of an Insurance Claim.  Payment for her repairs would have been issued to her from the [redacted].  [redacted] is not a Direct Repair Insurance Company with our Collision Center so there was a $**.** fee charged for the Estimate that is owed back to Ms [redacted] for having the repairs done here at our Collision Center.  I have issued a check for $**.** to her.  Please have Ms [redacted] contact our shop with her vehicle repair concerns and we will have our Director Christian K[redacted] review them with her.
