United Anesthesia Services

UAS billed me for services for a procedure on 10/30/19, services are fully covered by my insurance company who has never been billed for the claim. I have called and been transferred to a voice mail on 3 occasions with the instruction to leave my account and call back information and the call will be returned in 2 business days. No calls were returned. Insurance company attempted contact on my behalf thru a different phone number and was also unable to get a human being on the phone or a return call. The last bill I received is now threatening collections.

Received Anesthesia services 02/21, and was told to pay $500 upfront, and I would be reimbursed per my insurance coverage. I received an invoice from United Anesthesia Service cut 03/27 asking for additional monies. After speaking with my insurance company, I was advised United Anesthesia Service had also billed my insurance company and had been paid in full. I called United Anesthesia Service and was reluctantly told that they in fact owe me a refund of $417.82, and I should receive my check in 60 days. I called United Anesthesia Service weekly as of June, asking for updates on my refund, and was given different information with each call. I was finally advised my check was to be mailed out the week of June 24th. It is now July 9, and I have not yet received my check. Upon calling today, July 9th, I was told that my refund was actually just sent to accounting and I would have to wait 60 days from today to be reimbursed. I do not believe United Anesthesia Service has any intention of issuing my owed refund of $417.82, and therefore is engaging in fraudulent billing practices.
