I have carefully reviewed Mr. [redacted]’ file and am formally disputing the claims made by Mr. [redacted].  I have attached several documents for your review.  They are:   1.        Mr. [redacted]’ Purchase Agreement 2.      ...

The Buyer’s Guide for the vehicle with Mr. [redacted]’ acknowledgement that the vehicle was sold “As-Is” 3.       Our “We Owe” for the vehicle. These are repairs or adjustments we agreed to make at Point of Sale. 4.       ServiceStar Vehicle History 5.       Service Ticket Post Sale   First and foremost, the sale to Mr. [redacted] was a cash sale as you can see on the attached purchase agreement. We have never sold a vehicle for cash with a warranty UNLESS the customer purchases said warranty from our outsourced warranty company, ASC Warranty.  There was no such warranty purchased on this vehicle.  If there would have been a warranty purchased, it would have been done so at point of sale and included on the purchase agreement.  As you can see, there was no warranty.  My speculation is that perhaps Mr. [redacted] was offered a warranty post sale.  Our records show no purchase of a warranty post sale and I request that Mr. [redacted] furnish documentation of his purchase of the warranty to which he refers in his letter to the Revdex.com.    Secondly, you can see that the vehicle was sold “As-Is” with no warranty as indicated on the Buyer’s Guide.   I would also like to point out that significant work was completed on Mr. [redacted]’ vehicle both “prior to sale” and “post sale”.  I will not address the “We Owe” items specifically as it is implied given Mr. [redacted] did not include the windshield gasket, fan buzz and oil overfill issue that these items were repaired to his satisfaction.   Our records indicate the following work was completed to specifically address Mr. [redacted]’ complaints:   Prior to Sale: AC heater check Engine Misfire a.       Installed new ignition coil and wire set b.      Installed  new spark plugs Oil Pressure Malfunction a.       Installed new oil pressure sensor O2 Sensor Malfunction a.       Installed New O2 Sensor   Post Sale:                Replaced 4 Tires                Repaired Fog Lights                Replaced Drive Side Door Actuator                Front End Alignment   Our records do not indicate that Mr. [redacted] had any issue that he communicated to our team regarding a problem “starting and stalling”.  Our records indicate that these issues were repaired PRIOR to the sale.  Further, if Mr. [redacted] had a problem with the vehicle “starting and stalling”, I would have expected that these issues would have been present at Point of Sale and addressed in the “We Owe”.  Clearly, they were not identified nor communicated to our team.  We also encourage our customers to have the vehicle inspected by a mechanic of their choosing when purchasing a vehicle for cash.  In any case, Mr. [redacted] would not have let these problems linger for a full month before scheduling an appointment…..and we would not have replaced tires, fog lights, a door actuator and completed a front end alignment given these items were not identified on the “We Owe” had Mr. [redacted] communicated an issue with “starting and stalling”.   I believe you will find that we have many satisfied customers and that we strive to treat all customers with respect and courtesy and promptly return calls regarding the status of their vehicles under repair.   In conclusion, given the vehicle was sold without a warranty, we believe there is no obligation whatsoever to reimburse Mr. [redacted].  We also believe that the repairs we performed were well beyond what a typical dealer would perform AND you should note that we were never paid for any of the work performed.   Please contact me with any questions.   Best,   [redacted] Partner and Manager

First of all, and my wifes major complaint, is that there is no bathroom at this facility. Its a 1/4mi walk uphill to use facilities in another building not owned by this tiny dealership. The [redacted]) claims to be a master technician but make no mistake, in his place of business he is a salesman way before he is a technician. The car I purchased was my second VW R32, a special car of which all his certifications and accolades on the wall should have made him an expert on the vehicle. Since I have alot of experience with the model as well I knew some of what to look out for. I noticed a couple of things, He told me he was a Technician/Instructor and that it was fine, then he offered to help me purchase a new tire on his tirerack account, and told me to take it to a dealer to have them prove the things wrong...then he will fix it. The day after I picked up the car I took it to a VW dealership to have them look it over. Not only was the fan completely seized and inoperable, I was also notified that while the brake pads were brand new, my rotors should not have passed inspection and required replacement. The bubble in the tire is also a point of failure for a NYS safety inspection. The car I purchased was also in a major front end collision that was not on the carfax. In my opinion its highly probable [redacted] is putting cars back together himself using a decent body shop and has the guy doing safety inspections in his pocket which could cause us consumers significant risk. [redacted] is ALWAYS polite but he is using his thin veneer of being a nice guy and knowledge of cars to make himself a profit...not to sell you a good car. He has not called me back to set up an appointment to have the car properly repaired even though its been well over 6 months. Its tough enough buying specialty cars, but I regret purchasing this car 100% and look forward to my day in court...in two days time. Also, [redacted] has not responded to the mediation team that the court referred me to. I would highly recommend that the avg consumer have the car inspected by someone they trust first...and never buy a high performance car from this place...its just too risky.

Review: PURCHASED A VEHICLE FROM THIS DEALRSHIP WHICH WAS DEFECTED AND SHOULDNT HAVE EVEN PASSED INSPECTION WITH ALL THE PROBLEMS IT HAD. CALLED DEALERSHIP SEVERAL TIMES ABOUT THE ISSUE WITHIN THE FIRST 3 DAYS OF PURCHASING. HADNT EVEN MADE IT HOME BEFORE I HAD THE FIRST ISSUE WITH THE CAR. BROUGHT IT BACK OUT TO DEALERSHIP TWICE LOOKING TO RESOLVE ISSUE. THE [redacted] RESET THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND TOLD ME IT WAS FIXED. HE THAN PROCEEDED TO TELL ME IT WAS MY FAULT THE CAR WAS ACTING UP. TOOK IT TO AN AUTO BODY SHOP AND THEY TOLD ME TO RETURN THE CAR BECAUSE OF THE LEMON LAW AND THAT THERES KNOW WAY THIS CAR COULD PASS INSPECTION. SINCE THEN I HAVE CALLED BACK THE DEALRSHIP AND TOLD THEM I WANTED TO BRING IT BACK DUE TO THE LEMON LAW, THEY SAID I COULDNT AND DOESNT WORK LIKE THAT. SINCE THAN I HAVE BEEN TO 4 DIFFERENT SUTO BODYS SHOPS AND SPENT OVER 4000$ TRYING TO GET THIS CAR FIXED AND IT STILL IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP SEVERAL TIMES AND THEY ARE YET TO EVER CALL ME BACK.Desired Settlement: I WOULD BE SATISFIED TO RETURN THE CAR AND GET MY MONEY BACK AND THATS ALL.
