When my husband and I went to U/B -Homes we specifically told the sales person, Jeff, we wanted and needed a handicap prep home, we were told they could make it for u sJEFF explain to us that all entry doors had to be 36" wide for a wheel chair to go through, and they would get all dimension for handicap showers and restroomsThey told us we would be happy n proud of our home when they finish with are house, when they started to prepare the concrete foundation I notice that it didn't seem right, it seem to small to fit which was to be a handicap restroomSo we spoke to Jeff since he had come over with some papers he told us it will come out right, it just seems small, when the walls come up you will seeBottom line we have had to keep going over and over to there place of business for different things that are not right and need to be correctedSome things have been corrected and others haven'tThey didn't make the concrete foundation big enough to make the house HANDICAP PREPThey are not giving us what they sold us I feel that if they couldn't fit what was to be handicap into the floor plan they sold us, they should have called us in to discuss it, maybe adding 2' or 3' feet more to the floor plan would have made it rightWhen we spoke to them about it, we were told it was an over sight on there part' that even them did not notice but it was not done on purposeI told them I had brought it up to them at the beginning when I was told it would be right when the walls would come up' we were also told at there office by Steven Wthat they could make the foundation bigger but we were gonna have to pay out of pocket' thousands of dollars' than later on' to tell us it was an over sightI have try reasoning with them about the situation about everything gone wrong'( main thing') house Foundation' not big enough, 36" Doors, movement of walls, restroom windows, kitchen bay windows, missing back bedroom porch' which had to have been framed like all other porches with the rest of the house foundation, still not there till these day' we are having to compromise in loosing footage ( size ) in the back bedroom in order to fit a 36" door in the hallway restroom, same back bedroom is to small' with a tiny restroom that in no way will a wheel chair go through' that bedroom which was to be the mother in law handicap room with her own out side door and porch' again in order for that bedroom to have come out right' just like the master bedroom' footage had to been add it to the foundationIn master restroom we are loosing a sink' it was suppose to be double sinks, loosing a towel closet' so that it will allow room for the handicap shower' loosing one of the twin closet to be made smaller to allow 36" door so a wheel chair can go through and move the restroom wall to fit 36"door which till this day they won't agree to move what needs to be move without us paying out of pocket money' we are told every time that we signed and there for we agreed by signing' so no matter the problems arising that's what we are getting unless we pay them out of pocket money' Steven told me we don't get anything for free, so how are we to give to you free of charge even thou they promise by word of mouth from a family owen company' that they would build us a handicap house to be proud offWe are not happy or proud of this out come' with United Build Homes' we' my husband and I fell that they cut corners because of cost or whatever there reason was' they are not of there word, and we would not recommend this company to anyone,

We chose UBH (Texarkana, TX) because the salesman seemed honest and responsibleSix months later, the house still isn't done, and the same person we thought was honest and reliable has turned our to be untruthful and totally irresponsible We had complained to UHB Corporate before, and their district construction superintendent told us not to contact corporate anymore, because they would just call him anyway UHB advertises "custom homes", and the salesman talks a good program, but, the contract ("..this is just a formality..") negates all the agreed-upon verbal contracts we were promised UBH hires the worst contractors available, and has no idea when or how these contractors will do what they are supposed to do Best advise we can give anyone is to find a different builderSave youself heartache and loss

I recently had UBH build my house in early 2016, after a lot of headaches and information (rock, trim, dormer, septic, time line) it was completedI was over charged for rock and was charged for a functional dormer, which I didn't get I have been going back and forth for over 1/months with UBH to get credited back some money
I was given part of my septic allowance back, but I have been waiting for the rest of it for weeks now Empty promises of tomorrow, tomorrow yields the same results of not having it yet
Very disappointed

United Built Homes started our house in February I was quoted $to $a square foot It cost us over $ We were told we could save money by doing the interior painting but our home cost more to build than other homes by independent builders in the area They quickly put the foundation in and framed the house We had to get them to replace a couple rotten boardsThey busted out a door frame and said it would be replaced but they puttied it months after they started, I was called to sign papers about being able to start painting Apparently in the stack of papers was one that said that the build was complete, I'd been given a walk through, a warranty package and the keysOn that date, we had no lights, no toilets or sinks, no interior doors, no door knows in the exterior doors, no HVAC and no counters The house wasn't finished enough to move in until September and I had already started payments I was never given a walk through or a warranty packet The keys were left in a pile on the kitchen island Many things were done wrong Holes were put in the kitchen walls after we painted The HVAC took weeks to be installed due to it leaking The HVAC wasn't installed and the holes for the vents weren't cut the day my flooring was to be installed They don't install flooring and my flooring installers had to be rescheduled and then rescheduled again because of the HVAC leaking all over the sub floorThe wrong granite was installed in the bathrooms but I kept it The same cabinet was busted twice during installationThey installed the wrong shower in the master bath We found out later the drain for that shower wasn't connectedWe had to hire a landscaper to bring the dirt back up to the house They left trash everywhere inside the house and out We had to clean their messThey never brought a dumpster to the houseWe had to pay extra It flooded under the house, they pumped the water out and it flooded again They pulled out the temporary pump and left a river underneathThey were horrible to get them to fix anything I have dated pictures, emails and text messages to prove this The drywall was installed in May and by November almost every corner was cracked along with a seam in the living room over the front door The house wouldn't even appraise to what it cost to build not counting the flooring, tile shower or paying a landscaper to bring the land grade to the house In order to refinance because their interest rates are way higher, I had to put acres with the house to come up to what United Built Homes charged Their customer service is terrible We finally were able to move in the last week of September Everything still isn't fixed There were many other things done wrong I didn't mention

To Whom It May Concern,
At Avada of NC, we offer financing through [redacted] with the option of 3 plans; 12 months with no interest, 40 months with 14.9% interest and 60 months with 14.9% interest. At the time of purchase, Harrison [redacted] was offered and received a thorough explanation of the...

choices of financing options with [redacted]. The clinician completed the Promotional Plan Selection Slip that clearly shows the selection of 14.9% interest and the 60 month plan selection. A promotional period was not indicated. The patient signed and dated that form and signed the credit card receipts with the plan #0560 circled. The clinician explained that in conjunction with the signed form and receipt, she reviewed and reiterated what plan that the patient had selected, which was 5 years (60 months). Additionally, as a practice, she circles the plan number on the receipt as an extra precautionary measure to ensure the patient understands which plan they are agreeing to. The related documents are attached to this response.
After a thorough managerial review of the case, it has been determined that the documents in place are binding and no wrong doing occurred. At best, a misunderstanding may have occurred, but all procedural practices to avoid such a situation were followed. The loan cannot at this time be altered. At Avada, it is our mission to serve the hearing impaired with the highest degree of integrity, professionalism, ethics, technology and service available to ensure the highest patient satisfaction. We look forward to seeing Mr. [redacted] in the office for service of his new hearing instruments.

When my husband and I went to U/B -Homes we specifically told the sales person, Jeff, we wanted and needed a handicap prep home, we were told they could make it for u s. JEFF explain to us that all entry doors had to be 36" wide for a wheel chair to go through, and they would get all dimension for handicap showers and restrooms. They told us we would be happy n proud of our home when they finish with are house, when they started to prepare the concrete foundation I notice that it didn't seem right, it seem to small to fit which was to be a handicap restroom. So we spoke to Jeff since he had come over with some papers he told us it will come out right, it just seems small, when the walls come up you will see. Bottom line we have had to keep going over and over to there place of business for different things that are not right and need to be corrected. Some things have been corrected and others haven't. They didn't make the concrete foundation big enough to make the house HANDICAP PREP. They are not giving us what they sold us. I feel that if they couldn't fit what was to be handicap into the floor plan they sold us, they should have called us in to discuss it, maybe adding 2' or 3' feet more to the floor plan would have made it right. When we spoke to them about it, we were told it was an over sight on there part' that even them did not notice but it was not done on purpose. I told them I had brought it up to them at the beginning when I was told it would be right when the walls would come up' we were also told at there office by Steven W. that they could make the foundation bigger but we were gonna have to pay out of pocket' thousands of dollars' than later on' to tell us it was an over sight. I have try reasoning with them about the situation about everything gone wrong'( main thing') house Foundation' not big enough, 36" Doors, movement of walls, restroom windows, kitchen bay windows, missing back bedroom porch' which had to have been framed like all other porches with the rest of the house foundation, still not there till these day' we are having to compromise in loosing footage ( size ) in the back bedroom in order to fit a 36" door in the hallway restroom, same back bedroom is to small' with a tiny restroom that in no way will a wheel chair go through' that bedroom which was to be the mother in law handicap room with her own out side door and porch' again in order for that bedroom to have come out right' just like the master bedroom' footage had to been add it to the foundation. In master restroom we are loosing a sink' it was suppose to be double sinks, loosing a towel closet' so that it will allow room for the handicap shower' loosing one of the twin closet to be made smaller to allow 36" door so a wheel chair can go through and move the restroom wall to fit 36"door which till this day they won't agree to move what needs to be move without us paying out of pocket money' we are told every time that we signed and there for we agreed by signing' so no matter the problems arising that's what we are getting unless we pay them out of pocket money' Steven told me we don't get anything for free, so how are we to give to you free of charge even thou they promise by word of mouth from a family owen company' that they would build us a handicap house to be proud off. We are not happy or proud of this out come' with United Build Homes' we' my husband and I fell that they cut corners because of cost or whatever there reason was' they are not of there word, and we would not recommend this company to anyone,

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this response/resolution is satisfactory to me as long as I actually receive my replacement. I don't want to end up in the same situation again next year at this time where I have to bring in a third party to help resolve an open issue from 2016. Technically this issue isn't resolved, but I will wait if I have to until next year to consider it closed.

UBH has lied to me about every step of the building process. They advertise "no money down" but I was told a week before signing that I had to pay $9,000 for "permits and fees." Now they are asking me for more money 4 months in to the building permit process and will not tell me what they did with the $9,000 I already have them in addition to my down payment.

DO NOT USE THE COMPANY!!!!!!! Dealing with the manager Steven at the I-35 location by Austin Texas has been a nightmare from the beginning. Thing were promised for us to sign on the dotted line and took months and a lot of pestering on my part, to finally achieve. But the final straw was when the construction manager told me that I would be reimbursed for some questionable work that the company did. So I paid someone to fix it and after it was paid....I WAS INFORMED THAT I WOULD NOT BE REIMBURSED!!!!!!!! By the manager Steven even thought I was told I would be. This company could be good but the people they have in management aren't reliable. Save your self the time, energy and heartache and look else where.

We chose UBH (Texarkana, TX) because the salesman seemed honest and responsible. Six months later, the house still isn't done, and the same person we thought was honest and reliable has turned our to be untruthful and totally irresponsible.
We had complained to UHB Corporate before, and their district construction superintendent told us not to contact corporate anymore, because they would just call him anyway.
UHB advertises "custom homes", and the salesman talks a good program, but, the contract ("..this is just a formality..") negates all the agreed-upon verbal contracts we were promised.
UBH hires the worst contractors available, and has no idea when or how these contractors will do what they are supposed to do.
Best advise we can give anyone is to find a different builder. Save youself heartache and loss.

The tracking number that was provided is showing a scheduled delivery for today (06/07) in Philadephia, PA.  I do not reside in Philadelphia so I don't think that tracking number is correct that was provided.I'm also a little unclear on what it is I'm supposedly going to be receiving.  According to the response, am I only receiving 1 out of the 2 orders that I am expecting?  If that is the case, am I ever going to be getting the second one?
