Very thankful to have such an amazing company handling my insurance claim. They're very good at what they do and even though my insurance company originally paid less than my deductible UCS was able to get enough for me to make all the repairs needed for my hail claim including a new roof. Thanks UCS!!!!

United Claims Specialists is a company I highly recommend. The staff and adjusters are especially nice to deal with, knowledgeable, and professional in every way. After many hours, days, weeks, and months after my hot water heater flooded my home and dealing with our insurance company we decided we were not going to reach a fair settlement on our own. Choosing United Claims Specialist was the best decision we could have made. If we are ever unfortunate enough to go through something like this or any other damages are sustained to our home, we will not hesitate to immediately call United Claims Specialist.

Amazing service, knowledge, and commitment to excellence. This group goes the extra mile for us, the insured. They fought the fight for me. I would highly recommend them if you have any kind of home damage - definitely call them before you call your insurance company!!!!

After dealing with the insurance company on my own and feeling as though I wasn't getting anywhere I called United Claims Specialists. My home was damaged from Hurricane Irma and although it had already been a year of dealing with my insurance company on my own, United Claims Specialists jumped right into my claim and explained the entire process so that I knew what to expect. They were able to triple what my insurance company had originally offered and I couldn't be more happier with choosing them to help me with this horrible process. Many people don't have any idea what to do when it comes to filing a claim and just like me, expect immediate actions and results. The team at United Claims Specialists defiantly deserve more than five stars and I will be sure to call them first should I ever have another claim to file. Great job!!! Highly Recommended!!

Hurricane Michael hit on 10/10/2018 and we knew right away that this was going to be a tough challenge dealing with our insurance company as the first adjuster who came to our home was there for less than 30 minutes and talked a big line of crap about how not to worry and not a problem, I've written that down and took lots of photographs. What a lie that turned out to be. They lost all of my paperwork, or simply said, we never received anything from the adjuster regarding that. Immediately my family knew we had to do something. We decided after hearing such wonderful stories about United Claims Specialists to call them and explain our claim. Without hesitation they came to our home, wrote an estimate, took photographs and explained the claims process to my husband and I. Within a few weeks UCS had an inspection with our insurance company to review all the damages to my home. My public adjuster explained that we would need to wait for the insurance adjuster to send his report to my insurance company and would call me as soon as he received it. A few weeks later we were informed that he was able to get well over his estimate amount and even was able to obtain my loss of use so that we could move into a temporary home during the rebuild. I want to thank each person at UCS as they really did come through for my family and I. If your unsure about using them, don't be. Best Decision Ever! Thanks to all of the wonderful staff at UCS...

Worst experience ever. No representation when it come to inspections. Hard to get a call back. Missed appointments due to scheduling issues. We were on our own other than phone calls. Made it sound good in the beginning but did not deliver in the end. Had to settle out of court due to it being two years with no resolution on our claim. Settled for $65,000 on a $97,000 claim at the advice of United Claims Specialist. However mortgage company required all listed repairs according to their estimate be completed before all funds were released. Very disappointed.

I'm not sure why the other people here claim to have had terrible service by UCS. Our businesses have had WONDERFUL service! We have 4 different claims to 4 different properties after Hurricane Michael that UCS has handled or is still handling. The entire crew has exceptional customer service. Yes, some of our claims are taking quite a while to resolve....that's the joy of dealing with insurance companies. Insurance companies are crooked! That's where UCS came in. UCS is even taking one of our claims into litigation to make certain that we get exactly what we need from our insurance company! At no additional cost to us :-) Gwen, Amanda, David....they have all been exceptional. They have always responded to emails and phone calls in a timely manner. We have had no complaints whatsoever. They have already gotten us much more than we expected, and are still working for us!

Worst experience I have ever gone through in my life. Worse than the hurricane itself. NOT KIDDING! You still end up doing all the work yourself. They don't guide you or tell you what you need to do and that was one of the things they assured me of, and it didn't happen! They don't respond to emails till they are ready, mostly just don't, they never return phone calls. Had many office adjusters assigned to my case. Who didn't seems to know what they were doing. Definitely not what they say they are, once you hire them (sign) It's too late. If I had it to do all over again, I would never hire this company. And to add to my pain they referred a general contractor that was a complete total liar! I figured him out before it was too late. He Expected to be paid for a job he never completed! That's a whole different night mare! All anyone needs is to research what and how to be ready for a disaster when it comes to your home and belongings, know your insurance policy, make sure you have all the coverage you need to replace everything. Don't be under insured, keep good records update them when they need to be. Insurance companies don't tell you this. If you have a good insurance company and policy and know what your part is in making sure you have up to date inventory lists of every you own/purchased and date purchased, pictures of your belongings are also valuable to have, because you will have to try and remember all this after the disaster happens. A good insurance company will work with you better than getting a public adjuster, and don't cost you anything. I still had to do the research and leg work myself, and ask all the questions. I was just a % I had to pay United Claims Services for doing the work myself. Know your insurance policy, understand it and put the work in now, before disaster hits! I could be a better public adjuster!

First and foremost, thank you for choosing our company in a time of need, we appreciate each and every one of our clients. We welcome any and all reviews left regarding our services and always do our very best to ensure that our clients are top priority and to review comments left and to reach out to see what could be done differently to make each client feel good about choosing our company. As many have come to realize after Hurricane Michael, the right insurance on your home does matter, there is no book or class that can teach/show insureds if they have the right amount of coverage and as much as we try to help assist and explain this sometimes the coverage(s) just isn't there. If there is anyway we can of further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact our office.

Failure to follow up with us regarding our case. Return calls and emails
Eric and Mark told us that this case would be presented to the insurance company and that it would be litigated through UCS. We were told that UCS had in house attorneys that would pursue this case against our insurance company. To date Eric or Mark has not returned any of our calls, nor have either of them back to the house as promised when the insurance company was here to do their reinspection. Upon calling the office today, Kara has told me that UCS is basically done. That I will need to contact an attorney on my own to finish it up. This is not what was promised by Eric during his sales presentation.

Desired Outcome

Release from all contracts and agreements signed. No further contact.

Hello ***,

The business did finally reach out to us late yesterday after reading our review on Google. We are working towards amicable resolution. At this point, please close this case.

*** & ***

Regards

UCS is extremely knowledgeable and professional. You are in good hands with UCS.

Crooks and thieves I started a long detailed review but I lost it. Suppose to take the stress of phone calls off of you, no way!!!!!!! I had to call the owner of *** their tarping and mold people. I had to call the owner *** over a dozen times for retarping. His crew never used the wood slats to prevent wind and rain, yet they ripped off what my father and brother in-law did properly and used their own money to help us as soon as they could get to us and before we signed with UCS. So I had to keep calling as this continued to damage my home. Then his mold guy never finished and mold continued to spread and this guy never came for his machines I called and emailed ten times to ***'s mold guy. *** received a check for over 14k from my insurance company because he billed them for water mitigation and mold removal and treatment that was never done properly if at all after dry out. *** has not earned that money by any means. So I am short 14k from that. UCS sends out a new mold person and they got the job done I don't know how much they billed my insurance for but my money has dropped there also ugh! I get my undisputed check from the insurance company for dwelling and other structures. Insurance adjuster was out 4 days after the storm but before the mold showed up. Also before We signed with UCS. When this undisputed check came in it had our name, the Mortgage company and UCS on it. I called *** with UCS and she told me to sign it and send it to *** at their main office and they would send a check back. They sent it back alright they cut their 10% off of my dwelling and other structures check that they had no part of! I am the one that had to call the insurance company to check on it! UCS talks in circles making you believe they are doing something but they are not! So we received a check for about 56k after they took what they thought they earned. So I paid the condos up to date because UCS couldn't get any ALE advance for loss of use from my insurance company supposedly. (hired my first contractor and he seemed so nice he helped fix the crappy tarping, cleaned all the yard debris and did random things before this check came in. I gave him a 20k cashier's check and cash here and there prior to that to pay his workers. Long story short after he got the cashier's check he vanished owing me over 30k out of my money. I know where he is and his days are numbered.) So roughly I have 25k to get started. After an anxiety break I hired this wonderful contractor that is very upset with Ucs and the first guy hired and a contractor that"said he was just helping me out.... By accidentally starting my roof. More damage than good do we will be going after him also!

New contractor we will call him ***.
*** immediately got started repairing our roof right after we signed with him and picked out shingles. ***'s crew is wonderful they completely repaired my roof damaged from Hurricane Michael and damaged more by the guy *** at *** construction. We have photos of every section of the roof before and and after to prove extra damage from the "***" guy. They had not dried it in properly either. Anyways *** and his crew worked day and we'll into the nights to get my roof up to code and repaired. I had 2 different neighbors compliment *** and his crew about how polite they were and how they cleaned up their mess behind them! They had nothing but good things to say about *** and his crew.

Back to UCS and my big check or what will be left. They told me from the end of January until two weeks ago all sorts of BS about my check such as "we are following it closely there is no movement from your insurance" "we are still waiting for your insurance adjusters new report since second walk through" so I was told these things since early February. May 5th I was told UCS was waiting for the final report from insurance. I got off the phone with Ucs and called my insurance company to find out the reached an amount and mailed a check February XX XXXX & they closed my account on the 12th of April 2019!!! I was like Wait, What???? I never received that check. I was able to get the insurance company to stop payment on the one that never arrived and they overnighted me a new one. UCS calls me the next day to tell me they agreed to the amount and insurance would be sending me a check.... Oh wow UCS it's amazing you found that out the next afternoon after I called my insurance company. Now this time my spouse and myself signed the check and I took it to the mortgage company liked they asked me to do after I got screwed on my very first check. The mortgage company called and she talked to 5 or 6 different supervisors that could Not tell my mortgage manager how they cash the checks without the mortgage company signing it. They said they have a power of attorney to do that but the could not provide the mortgage company proof. Another person told her they send it to the mortgage company to sign and have them send it back to UCS they in return strip their share off the top and send their client a check with the new amount. We'll since my mortgage company never saw that first check they asked where Ucs mailed it to and they had no address or proof of where they sent it. The mortgage company told them we need a release or they need to sign it and send it back to my mortgage they refuse!!!!! I called my insurance company and got them to send me a copy of the first check front and back... It had mine and my spouses signature and a stamp for UCS but there was Not a signature or stamp for my mortgage company. This is illegal!!!!!!! And Ucs refuses to give a release so we can cash it they don't deserve 14k...for what? I did the work.... Calling the state attorneys office. My insurance and mortgage have turned this over to their legal teams. Do Not Hire United Claims Specialist!

Worst company ever. Took them 9 months to file my claim. I finally had to file a complaint with DFS. Never return phone calls. Very unprofessional.
