UCS
is a collection agency and the current creditor of a personal loan Ms***
took out in 2011. The personal loan
originated with *** Group LLC and the last four account number digits are ***
UCS
did call Ms***’s family and place of employment All calls were made for location verification
and are made in conformity with federal law, specifically the Fair Debt
Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
UCS only spoke with Ms***
on May 8, when she called into UCS.
Since that point, there has been no further contact with Ms*** and
we hope that she will be satisfied to be assured in writing and through your
office that UCS will not be contacting her again regarding this matter unless
she contacts UCS herself as this account remains unpaid

We are obligated to send a letter to
a consumer with the same name as Mr***, and were attempting to both
confirm his address and his identity to ensure the letter reached the correct
person. Calls made to obtain or confirm
location information are made in conformity with federal law, specifically the
Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
UCS
did contact Mr*** but was unable to verify the consumer we were looking. We believe Mr*** is mistaken as to who
has contacted him as the information he provided does not correlate with the
information in UCS’s records. We believe
he may have been contacted by another agency; however, we will treat this
complaint as a cease and desist as Mr*** requests and not contact him
again regarding this account. We
apologize for any inconvenience or confusion.
