I accepted a request to purchase a wind chime from this agency. The product came in the mail as promise; with an invoice for the sum of $49.95. At first sight, it was obvious, this was not worth $5.00. The quality was very poor. I basically purchased to support the cause of the agency. Needless to say, I unintentionally failed to send the payment due, and subsequently forgot about it. As a result, I received a statement last week, detailing the $49.95 and a late charge of $35.00.

My complaint is, I have not authorized this company to issue a credit account, and therefore have not agreed to interest or late charges. I am sending the payment for the flimsy product and would like to have my name and number removed from their calling soliciting list.

I'm not comfortable speaking with these solicitors as they tend to share too much information and ask too many personal questions. Perhaps more professional phone etiquette should be administered.
