United Drywall & Painting Reviews (4)

The work that was done all needed to be redone This is not just my opinion, I had two further estimates and a final bill from the person who re-did everything including replacing some of the drywall They cleaned up the mess that was left (blobs of plaster on the cabinets, exercise equipment and carpet) They sanded and caulked the molding, replaced the corner reinforcements and the drywall around the outlets and re-skimmed the nail heads and dents Yes he did work and can document it, but I can document that all the work he did was wrong and not salvageable I do not have an itemized quote nor a signed agreement He did not give me any information about his company other than a text number I can not find his company listed with the Attorney General data base and the web site uses claims that seem to reflect his father's business Is this a legit business? He said he was doing concrete work and I have to question his work experience I do not have an invoice to dispute I told him I would pay for any of his work that could be salvaged and used to decrease the follinvoice I actually had to pay more because of the removal and cleanup I feel I do not owe him anything and will continue to pursue the legitimacy of his credentials

The speed of the job was not of essence the quality wasFirst of all the hardware, yes there were two clips but two mirrors requiring four clips. The face plates did not cover the over sized openings left for the outlets and had to be redone. The corner reinforcement was left with a jagged edge and had to be replaced. The skim coat in the basement was rough and in some places sanded through the paper in otheres. The nail heads were exposed. It ALL had to be redone by the second contractor. My husband and I were ok with the texturing being a little deeper, more pronounced, but AT NO TIME were we told the pattern would be larger!!!!!!!! He might have thought that was what he was saying, what he meant by "a little deeper" but to anyone hiring him that is not what we understood. The drywall in the kitchen required reinforcing from the attic in order to be properly finished and the goopy plaster extended beyond the edge of the trim. Even if we removed the trim the edge of the wall board would have had to be refinished. I kept saying it has to match, and he kept saying it does match, just larger!! Again larger is not the same, it is not a match!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When he started to do the texture the plaster was just dripping off the ceiling and smearing all over. We were left with a real mess to clean up. After dealing with the second contractor and seeing how he went about his business the contrast and exceptionally poor workmanship of the first "job" is even more remarkable

The consumer had a quick job that needed to be done. We skim coated the basement. I told the consumer that the brush I'm using is a bigger brush. She and her husband were fine with that. She decided she didn't like it. I told her I could stop right there and bill her only for what was done. She said...

that's fine. I have proof that the work was done. The edges went behind the quarter rounds. They said they were going to replace the trim anyway. I left the hardware downstairs on the treadmill. It's two little plastic pieces (clips) to hold the mirror. How much are you willing to pay? I'm sorry it got to this point. Please feel free to call me if you want to discuss.

The work that was done all needed to be redone.  This is not just my opinion, I had two further estimates and a final bill from the person who re-did everything including replacing some of the drywall.  They cleaned up the mess that was left (blobs of plaster on the cabinets, exercise equipment and carpet) They sanded and caulked the molding, replaced the corner reinforcements and the drywall around the outlets and re-skimmed the nail heads and dents.  Yes he did work and can document it, but I can document that all the work he did was wrong and not salvageable.  I do not have an itemized quote nor a signed agreement.  He did not give me any information about his company other than a text number.  I can not find his company listed with the Attorney General data base and the web site uses claims that seem to reflect his father's business.  Is this a legit business? He said he was doing concrete work and I have to question his work experience.  I do not have an invoice to dispute.  I told him I would pay for any of his work that could be salvaged and used to decrease the follow-up invoice.  I actually had to pay more because of the removal and cleanup.  I feel I do not owe him anything and will continue to pursue the legitimacy of his credentials.
