Review: In 2008, I purcashed a serive that foundation and drainage work from United Foundation. Over the years, the soild at the work site has eroded, especially near the corner of the house. On July 2014, I sent United Foundation pictures of the area and requested that they review the work that was performed as this was the original reason for their work in 2008. To date, United Foundation has indicated that they are too busy to come a review their work.Desired Settlement: I would like United Foundation to review and repair, as necessary, the work that they performed.

Response:

On October 18, 2008 United Foundations at the homeowners instructions installed a drainage system from the down spout buried alongside of garage towards day light in the back of house, this was to deviate the water from the downspout. I believe at the time [redacted] thought this would take care of the erosion problem. On October 1, 2014, at [redacted]’s request and 6 years after work was completed as courtesy I met with him to discuss his concerns, at this time I inspected the prior work done by my company and found the work to be done properly, I informed [redacted] that the current situation with the erosion had nothing to do with the prior work at which time he asked as to what could be done to correct the problem.

Due to the negative downfall from the street, the house sits (+ or – 4’) below street level which in inclement weather (Rain or Snow) causes extreme water run out which causes the erosion.

My suggestion to him wore be the following:

Install a trench drain 6’ away from the front of garage.

Replace crumbled driveway (Due to water run out) and widen it 4’ toward left of house with a proper grade fall.

Attached you will also find a proposal for the items stated above as well as some additional items that [redacted] requested, I am also attaching the invoice from 6 years ago.

Unfortunately due to the topography of [redacted]’s lot any work done without the proper maintenance and with severe weather conditions with time he could continue to have these problems, as I mentioned before our work was done correctly, we warrant our work for a period of one year, this has now been 6 years, why didn’t [redacted] contact us then? United Foundations, has been in business for over 25 years, we pride out selves in our reputation of excellent work.
