Amazing selection; friendly, cooperative and knowledgeable employees; United Granite has it all. I was a little nervous since I am in the process of moving up here from Florida, but Sam made everything work. From working around my schedule to helping me with all the little details and walking me through the maze of granite and quartz, he was wonderful. Thank you!

I stopped in with a very odd request and these guys didn't bat an eye, not only were they able to assist me. They did an amazing job for me. There are still great companies out there and this is one of them.

Freddie *** and Cherill *** of United Granite in the Elkridge branch were as helpful and professional as they could possibly have been. The selection in their warehouse is huge, and the work they did for me was high-quality and very timely. This was a small job, but they treated it as seriously as if I were spending a ton of money, and I will not hesitate to hire them when I have a bigger jobvery, very pleased with their customer service attitude!

Granite installed incorrectly and without being buffed so it feels like sandpaper.
We purchased granite on 7/28/18 with it to be installed two weeks later. During the installation we were told the granite would have to be installed a different way because it was not cut properly. (there was a language barrier) We tried to call our sales guy but he wasn't in. The next day we called our sales guy (James) to tell him we weren't happy with the insatallion. The granite was crooked in one space, didnt wrap around a pole on our breakfast bar and all the granite felt like sanpaper. He sent out the production manger who came with no paperwork so he didn"t know if they installed it corectly or not ans said they would just buff out the granite to make it smooth.Our sales guy came out twice to measure so the could replace it. Now they are saying they don't have the capabilities to cut around a pole which they assured us they could when we purchased the granite and when they came out to measure the first time. Now their solution is to cut a piece of granite and put it on top of the granite where it was cut short and around the pole. We told them if they couldn't fix it to give us our money back. Now they are not getting back to us to fix this problem.

Desired Outcome

I would like them to buff out the granite and replace the breakfast bar so it doesn't look pieced together.

WE been met with Home owners 10/5/2018, taken care of sticky tile adhesive from the granite counter-top, applied sealer for more protection, educated how to take care product in future, agreed on follow back with additional service over the requested details.

United Granite has fixed the problem to my satisfaction. I would like to dismiss this case.

United Granite improperly installed a sink while installing a countertop (thus voiding the sink's warranty) and has failed to correct the problem.
United Granite installed in my home a new sink (provided by me) with a countertop I purchased from United Granite. The countertop slab was reserved at United Granite's Elkridge facility on 09/08/2017 and - at United Granite's recommendation - installed with the sink on 02/09/2018.

During their 02/09/2018 visit to my home United Granite's technicians attached the new sink to the countertop in a manner deemed improper by the sink's manufacturer (***) thus explicitly voiding that manufacturer's warranty should the installation problem remain uncorrected.

United Granite failed to respond to all (two) requests from its customer (me) over two weeks for United Granite to correct the installation problem. United Granite also failed to confirm receipt of those two problem-correction requests (sent via email) though United Granite promptly responded to email correspondence prior to receiving a significant ($1000) deposit to begin the countertop and sink installation job. United Granite has since received full payment for the $2,398.06 job from me in good faith United Granite will correct their error and properly complete the job in the near future.

The specific details requested by the Revdex.com for this complaint follow:

Problem Date: installation date of 02/09/2018
Purchase Date / Payment Amount / Payment Method: countertop slab reserved for $250 cash on 09/08/2017, job deposit made by $1000 check on 02/02/2018, balance due made by $1,146.06 check on 02/09/2018.
Model Numbers: no model number for the polished/finished countertop cut from the slab.
Order Numbers: none. United Granite's "Control Number" for the job is ***.
Account Numbers: none documented.

Desired Outcome

Either of the following two resolution options, at United Granite's preference/convenience, no later than 03/31/2018: Resolution option 1: United Granite attaches the sink to the countertop in a manner deemed proper by either the customer (myself) or the sink manufacturer. Resolution option 2: United Granite refunds $599 (25%) of the customer's full payment for the countertop project.

The manager of United Granite's Elkridge facility promptly contacted me after the Revdex.com complaint was initiated. The manager noted my email messages to his facility regarding the installation deficiency were inadvertently being flagged as spam and thus were not seen prior to the Revdex.com complaint, thus explaining United Granite's silence with respect to the installation deficiency. United Granite appeared sincerely concerned their work was deemed deficient, invited discussion to plan an installation improvemnent, scheduled the improvement with minimal delay, and visited as scheduled to implement the improvement thereby eliminating the deficiency. Except for the temporary email communication problem and since-corrected installation deficiency United Granite's product and service were very good. Their positive response to the Revdex.com complaint demonstrated the business' pride in its quality products and service and its interest in satisfying customers. United Granite will be the first business I contact when I again need natural or engineered stone products and their installation.

Refusal to refund deposit since cancellation 1 day after placing deposit.
Oct 28, 2017 a $500 deposit was placed on piece of granite. The next da, Oct 29, the order was cancelled and *** at United Granite said the refund would be processed by the accountant on the following Tuesday. The refund was not issued. I asked my bank to obtain the refund and United Granite told them refunds are only issued within3 days. As recent as today, February 7, 2018 United Granite has told me they will immediatelyissss immediately issue the $500 refund, and no refund has been issued.

Desired Outcome

Oct 28, 2017 a deposit was placed on a piece of granite. The next day, October 29, the order was cancelled. The manager *** said the accountant would issue the refund on the following Tuesday. The refund was not issued. I asked my bank to obtain the refund and aunited Granite told the bank that refunds had to
