the above referenced complaint dated November 28, 2015.
First, let me explain United Guaranty's relationship to this loan. United Guaranty provides credit insurance in which lenders are insured in the event of borrower default on loans secured by junior liens. The borrower is neither party to nor a beneficiary of the insurance policy. Once a borrower defaults on the loan, the lender files a claim with United Guaranty. The lender is required to assign all of its rights in the mortgage and promissory note to United Guaranty in order to receive a claim payment. After assignment, United Guaranty is the owner of the debt and attempts to collect the debt as part of its loss mitigation process.
United Guaranty has reviewed Ms. [redacted]'s account history and can confirm that her payments have been received and her account has been credited as such. As far as any concerns Ms. [redacted] has regarding the accuracy of her statements, United Guaranty mails Ms. [redacted]'s statements on the 15th day of each month, accurately reflecting her account status.
