This letter is to serve as a response as well as a rebuttal to the above referenced case. As noted in the patient’s complaint, she was seen at Simi Valley hospital in July of 2017. The insurance information that was given at the time of service was an out of state policy, which was
billed. However, because our claims are processed by clearing houses in California, it was electronically rejected. A bill was sent out to the patient documenting this. Typically at this point we would have received a call from the patient advising us of corrected insurance. However, the patient did not call us, her insurance called us twice. We were informed of a corrected claims address and the patient’s claims were rebilled. As of 8/31/the patient HAS NOT received a bill from us. In fact, the patient called our billing office on 9/28/and we advised her that she has a zero balanceWhile I certainly do empathize with the patient and her difficult situation, I do believe that we followed correct procedure regarding her account. Furthermore, her statement that we are refusing to bill her insurance or write it off is conclusively false. At this time, I would request that any further action by the Revdex.com be ceased and this case be considered closed. In addition, as a sign of good faith we will no longer request payment from the patient’s insurance and we will be writing off the balanceShould you have any further requests or questions, please feel free to contact me.
