March 7, 2016Dear [redacted] recently received your letter referencing # [redacted] The member complained that she was charged for towing "her" vehicle, which was being driven by her daughter, as well as the daughter ordering the towThe daughter is a member of AAA; however, she is a Basic member Basic members are permitted three miles of free towingHer mother is a Plus member, who receive miles of free towingThe vehicle is not considered in the membershipThe mother was not driving the vehicle nor did she call about the towIf the mother had used her membership Card number, when the tow was ordered, the tow would have been charged to herThe mother did call hours later, asking to switch membershipsWe cannot do this, we frequently get requests from Basic members to put the call on another person's card numberIf we followed this practice we would be out of business quickly, since we do about tows monthly.The costs are very minimal to join our Club; however, we have frequently experienced Basic members want to switch to some else when they realize they need a towWhenever a person purchases a membership, our employees explain to them what each membership containsMany people just want the lowest price membership, not caring what the coverage isIt would not be prudent to change the towing charge to the mother as this would definitely set a precedent and would not be fair to other members who purchase the Plus membership.Sincerely,Robert W.CEO

I was told the they were collecting on my [redacted] store account. I was suppose to get a statement of the amount owed from this collection company as well as a final statement of last payment.
