Dear Revdex.com:Mr*** applied for a loan through a lenderDuring the loan
transaction, which is an agreement between Mr*** and the lender, the
lender may offer a variety of products such as insurance or motor club
membershipsThe borrower, Mr***, has the opportunity to accept or
decline
the offersWhen signing the lender’s loan agreement Mr*** authorized the
lender to include the offered and agreed to products in his loan. The Motor Club Membership Mr*** authorized the lender
to include in his loan is through United Motor ClubThis agreement provides
the purchaser the ability to change his/her mind and request a refundTo
obtain a full refund the request must be received by United within days of
the effective dateIn this instance Mr*** obtain the membership on July
2, and requested cancellation on October 5, 2015, more than days after
inceptionOn October 16, 2015, United mailed a refund check to Mr*** in the
amount of $The refund is based on the short rate method as specified in
the membership agreement Mr*** did
not receive a full refund since he did not cancel within days.Subsequently, Mr*** obtained a second loan which also
included a membership program authorized by himMemberships are reported by
the lender to United Motor Club monthly and are reported by the 15th of the followingThis membership was in process.United is under no obligation provide a full refund contrary
to the terms of the membership agreement since Mr*** did not timely
request cancellationHowever, United has made an exception and mailed Mr
*** two checksOne check representing the balance for a full refund for the
membership on the first loan and a second check representing a full refund for
the membership in process. When Mr*** obtained the loan through his lender he was afforded the opportunity to review the application for the membership and authorize the purchaseMr*** signed the applicationAs such the membership was issued and fee charged with his signed consent. We have requested the lender to discontinue offering Mr
*** United Motor Clubs Membership on his future loans.*** ** *** ** * *** ***

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
The only way to "accept or decline" this offer, as stated by United Motor Club, is to stop the loan process during the signing of the loan documents during the closing of the loan This company, and the lenders know that most people won't do this because they don't realize that they are actually being charged for this The lender told me that this was "included" with my loan They did NOT explain that I was paying a charge for this and that it was entirely voluntary and that I did not have to have this in order to proceed with the loan.Over the past years, I have had this "membership" included by FOUR different lenders into various loans that I have taken out United Motor Club not ONCE told me that I had overlapping memberships and had effectively paid them hundreds of dollars for a one year membership that only costs $per year.I have tried to catch these memberships, if they are included with the loans, at the time when I sign the documents, but it has gotten harder to do because these lenders go so fast when you are signing the documents that they sometimes "forget" to tell me that it's in there.I have notified all my other lenders that I DO NOT want this included in my loans, but I guess I overlooked one of the lenders Also, after buying all of these memberships, NOT ONCE have I gotten a membership card from this companyBut when you call to request service, they ask you for this card and your "membership number" A number that has NEVER been issued to me.I will not be satisfied until I am issued a refund for the membership bought in October, in the amount of $ They stated that the membership "was in process." Past tense I wonder if they are going to use this as an excuse to withhold part of the fee paid to them, since that will put it "over days."I await the refund
Regards,
