This is the WORST moving company ever We moved from CA to FL in August and were told "they take really good care of your stuff", therefore additional coverage should not be necessary They BROKE countless items, including ALL of our three T.V's, an antique plate given to me by my grandmother as a wedding present, and numerous other items They MISPLACED a 16ft extension ladder, and two BRAND NEW tools sets, and I had at least pieces of jewelry MISSING The cardboard box my husband packed my jewelry chest in was pried open, valuable items removed and cheaper costume jewelry left!!
The personnel both picking up and delivering our items were not professional or pleasant and treated the young packers horribly...taking off for over two hours/sleeping in cab of truck while pressuring the youngsters to hurry up!
My husband and I have movedacross continents, while with the USAF, and have NEVER experienced this level of disgusting service, breakages or missing items

In January 2017, my wife and I moved from Los Angeles to MD and unfortunately, we didn't have a great experience with United Moving & StorageThey are deceptive, and their work is sloppy (items damaged and valuable boxes lost)I've moved across the country multiple times (NYC to Dallas, Dallas to Chicago, Chicago to LA), so I have good context as to how long-haul moves workI wanted to like these guys, but they are no different than the next moving company and the worse of my moversTheir sales reps will tell you want you want to hear - small, family-owned operations, they own their own trucks and mover are employees, customer-centric, etcUnfortunately, reality is much differentCommunication is non-existent, they try to extract more money from you, and your belongings will go missingIf you take anything away from this review, hire a larger, more reputable moving coPay the extra money to have peace of mind that all of your stuff will be returned to you
Completely awfulThey added $worth of charges on the day of pick up, the movers didn't speak English so couldn't explain why the charges were addedWhen we called customer service, they were rude and wouldn't provide any explanation or clarityThey also told us it would be a day window starting on the day of pick up, but after they had picked up the stuff, they told us it would be a 1-day window for delivery and they didn't start the window until days after they picked it upWould not recommend to anyone
Deceptive sales practices Contract not emailed until AFTER deposit is taken Terms on contract were not disclosed by representative prior to taking my deposit The sales rep grossly under bid my moving costs and instead of $my move was over $ I feel this was intentional and deceptive The sales rep also lied about many terms including the time frame for delivery

RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, DECEPTIVEThe three actual moving guys - who loaded my stuff - were greatIt's the company, itself, with questionable business practicesOne example: The person to whom I was directed to ask about a delivery date, dispatcher (?) Kathleen O*** decided she "didn't like my tone" and indicated her intention to do all in her power to make sure my delivery would not be scheduled until the very last day of the "one-to-ten business days" specified in the several pages of small print comprising the contract - or a minimum of TWO WEEKSThis - for a move from Los Angeles to Phoenixshe then proceeded to inform me that she, herself, would designate Day of the 2-week period to be fully days AFTER the company had debited over $from my bank account - and days after my stuff had been loaded into the moving vanas a punishment for my "tone." Incomprehensible, but absolutely true! Who ARE these people??
