On November 18,2015 we went to this house to fix a plumbing problem ,upon reaching at the house we found that sewer was backing up and They could not use any plumbing fixtures ,We asked the Person present at house about the what kind...
sewer system they had and they told us that house is on city sewer .As a company policy we explained the cost involved in fixing the problem and gave them written estimate before starting the job(The copy is submitted to Revdex.com).Now she told us that she is going to call the landlord for his approval ,this was the time when we found out that she is renting this place and owners were away for 3-4 weeks and she could not get hold of them and could not get any reply.This was the time when we found out that she is renter not the owner .As a company policy if owner of the property is not present at the job site or if we do not have owner's approval to start the work we charge the payment in advance .and if the owner is present we take payment after the job is finished .so we explained this to the Tennant and she made the payment and told us to do the job.so we started the job and the whole job took a lot longer than 20 MIN . However we do understand that this complaint is made by the owner of the property who is unaware of the whole story and is going by his renters words who want him to pay her back as it's his property .This is the reason we ask for property owner approval before doing any job on specific property.since the owner were unavailable on November 18,2015 and Tennant were unable to use any washroom and we did understood her situation and tried to help in any way we could .we are really surprised about the complaint as we tried our best to help her and she stood there and saw us doing our best .However just for customer satisfaction and resolve this issue we are willing to partially refund the money.

First of all, I mentioned to the plumber from the get go that I was renting and that the owner of the house was away on vacation. There was no time this individual ever mentioned to me that they required permission from the owner of the house before they could do the job. And by no means did the plumber explain to me anything about their charging policy i.e. charging me upfront since I was just a tenant. [redacted] I was asked if the house was on a city or septic sewer system. I told the plumber I was not sure because the landlord never disclosed that information to me. Instead he went ahead and filled out an invoice which was never e-mailed to me (per his statement that it will be e-mailed to me) and then charged me before starting the job. Yes I was present while he attempted to fix the problem. [redacted] I explained the whole story to the owner of the house as I had and have no reason to omit pertinent information regarding what happened that day. [redacted] Lastly, I will accept a partial refund as it is the just thing for United Plumbing to do.

Excellent service at a fair price to clean out my plugged basement floor drain. The plumber showed up within 2 hours of my call, efficiently cleaned out my drain, tested it to ensure the drain worked properly, gave me good advice about my drain and other plumbing issues, &, in general, was friendly and professional. I will definitely stick with United. I have a 65 year old house that I've made an effort to maintain so excellent service is very important to me.
