Very poor customer service
I canceled my service with UPG (United Propane Gas) September 29 2022 after15 years. They are slow about delivering gas. I would call when I was at 30% and my tank had gotten as low as 5% before they ever came. I told them to come and get their tank. The person on the phone informed me that they had three months to come and get the tank. She said it was in the contract and that there is a $50.00 charge for picking up the tank. I have never heard of such a thing. I had a $340.00 balance on my prepay. She told me they would deduct the pickup fee from my balance and send me the remaining balance. Well, they showed up on December the 29th to get the tank.Three months to the day from when I called them. I have tried to get into contact with someone at the company to inquire about my refund. No one ever answers the phone, all I get is a voice mail and then it hangs up on me. I have called to corporate office as well as the Athens Alabama office all I get is a dead end voice mail. This is the worse company I have ever dealt with.

Don't buy from this company!
I prepaid for my gas. At the last fill up, the driver was told to only fill the amount that was left on my account. Months later I received a bill that stated the driver over filled the tank. The statement already had service charges, even though NO bill had been sent to me. I paid the bill under protest. Now I've received another bill for over 100.00 dollars with even more service charges on it! You can't reach anyone on the phone and when you leave a message, they don't return your call.

Customer received gallons of propane on October 6, Due to computer issues, driver initially started pumping and pumped gallons before the pump locked up In order to continue the delivery, the driver had to enter a "payment" However, as customer acknowledges, no payment was made on day of delivery That "payment" is what was marked out on the delivery ticket given to the customer After that "payment" was entered, the truck pumped another gallons Customer has only been charged for gallons actually delivered and stills owes for the gallons pumped prior to pump locking up

We have reviewed the customer's complaint and his account The account has been corrected and now has a zero balance We regret that the local office did not communicate with the customer and bring this matter to the attention of the home office That failure will be addressed with the local office

Order was entered on September 5, for a fill-up Delivery was made on September 13, and the delivery price was the same as the price lockwhen order was entered Customer does not specify on what date he claims to have placed order but the balance due is because customer did not pay in full for this delivery

Due to the nationwide propane shortage last winter, delivery times were longer than normal Customer has acknowledged receiving all of the propane he contracted for The bill for $has been corrected which would have left customer with a zero balance However, customer paid the bill during same time correction was being done which has resulted in a credit on the account which can be applied to customer's next delivery

Charges have been removed from account and it has a zero balance

Refunds typically take 10-weeks to process Customer's refund request is being processed and a refund check will be provided once processing is complete Customer will be given credit for gas in tank when picked up but will also be assessed all applicable charges set forth in the tank rental agreement Whatever the credit remaining will be refunded to customer

It is not uncommon for customers to call and request tank to be filled but not know exact percentage tank was on This means customers often pay the amount they believe will cover having their tank filled but more gallons than paid for are actually delivered because the tank percent was lower than customer believed Customer admits receiving all of the gallons and needs to pay

We are willing to provide a $credit to account to cover any propane which may have leaked out That would bring the balance due to $which needs to be paid by December 31, ***

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Regards, [redacted] This is not what had happened as I have explained in my initial complaint, I called in and ordered gallons and paid for it with my [redacted] card, which I have a print out of, they are saying I only paid for a part of it but why would I call and prepay for gallons and not the other gallons it make no sense they are lying their driver came and over filled the tank and now they are trying to charge me more than the quoted price per gallon on that date plus all the interest and this should not be, I have tried to get in contact with the company and pay what I owed at the time of service even though I didn't order that much but they will not even acknowledge that I have called I have my original receipt that shows for the balance owed from them over filling my tank, I have my [redacted] card payment of 513.27, I agreed to pay them the difference of but they still insist that I pay now because they say its a different price per gallon and fees, which makes no sense to me when I was originally told to disregard the whole thing

Customer's order was placed during time when contract deliveries were suspended and customer acknowledges she was told any delivery made during that time would be at market price Local office manager claims to have gotten approval from her supervisor for delivery to be at contract price Supervisor did not give approval for delivery to be at contract price and that issue is being addressed with the office manager Because customer was told by office manager that delivery would be at contract price, an adjustment will be made to reflect that

The charges which have been assessed to account are set forth in rental agreement which customer acknowledges having a copy of Those charges are not due until tank is picked up so there was no way to send a previous bill As customer has paid balance in full, no further action will be taken and we consider this matter closed

As acknowledged in complaint, customer terminated contract and requested tank be picked up Once tank was picked up, account was reviewed and all charges set forth in contract were assessed to accountNo adjustments to account will be made and balance due needs to be paid

System checks are done on new customer accounts and are done when [redacted] is delivered According to the plant manager at [redacted] , Mr [redacted] threatened to " [redacted] ***" during the phone call made after the [redacted] was delivered [redacted] offered to pump the [redacted] out but customer refused Tank was picked up and credit was given for [redacted] in tank and charges set forth in tank rental agreement were assessed Account currently has a credit balance of $which will be refunded to customer

If customer will provide a copy of the advertisement received, we will review the matter to see if any credits are dueWe would also ask the customer to provide the names of all the people from the company that she spoke with
