In response to Mr [redacted] 's complaint ID [redacted] there seems to be some confusion and a misunderstanding as to what has been "offered or negotiated" verbally on the Coachmen Mirada United RV does not have a signed contract with Mr [redacted] stating the price he would pay for the RV and that we have agreed to We do not have a deposit from Mr [redacted] which is required to take this RV off the market and is required for the buyer as intent to purchase We also do not have any type of finance application filled out or signed by Mr [redacted] A signed contract specifying an agreed price, financing terms (if any) and deposit is required for an RV purchase by United RV Therefore, we are not able to complete the purchase transaction stated by Mr [redacted] specified in this complaint [redacted] *ertram is United RV's sales manager and has total authority from management in negotiating contracts on RV purchases This would also include any type of complaint or problem resolution as in the particular case [redacted] has displayed professionalism and ethical principles as our sales manager in his 10+ years of employment with United RV Should Mr [redacted] still be interested in purchasing from United RV or discussing this matter further, he should contact [redacted] *ertram directly to set up an appointment to visit In the 40+ years United RV has been in the RV business, we rarely end up with this type of complaint and hope that we can find a solution in this case Please know that United RV sincerely apologizes for any miscommunication on our part

The Sales Manager [redacted] *accepted my offer to purchase the Coachman Mirada for $37K plus my trade, indicating the salesman would forward my sales paperwork the following day via e-mailAfter days of excuses from the salesman as to why the documents would follow the next day, [redacted] called me to say that he had decided to "pass" on what he now called my "offer"He now claimed that he had never committed to the sale and was now expecting me to counter my own offer] with a higher offer! Call it what you will - Bait and Switch, not keeping his word or what everI copied the three company principals/owners on a written dialog detailing the proceeding, but thus far, none have commented or shown interest in the matter

I purchased a 5th wheel trailer from United RV on December 23rd, It was to be delivered to New Mexico where I was going to work The "Goliath" blizzard hit and the trailer was delayed When it was delivered, it wasn't the trailer I had purchased My sister told the driver to leave it I was in a panic That was the beginning of my nightmare with United RV I ended up purchasing the delivered trailer
The heater didn't work That was the first sign of trouble with this unit The sales manager had it fixed by a local dealer
Two weeks later, I had United RV come pick up the trailer and take it to their shop as I had another position in Kerens, TX to fulfill I was under the understanding that they would go through the trailer and make sure everything was working correctly
In April as the temperatures were heating up I tried to turn on the A/C unit Water started leaking from the ceiling fan but it wasn't raining I again called United RV to come pick up the t

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is some what satisfactory to me.

I respectfully reject the response by Mr. [redacted], in that Mr. [redacted] was to forward the contract to me on 3/17 with the amounts as agreed by [redacted]. the sales manager on 3/16 at 2:55. Mr. [redacted], on no less that 2 occasions, acknowledged that I was owed the agreed contract between 3/17 and 3/18, with no indication that the terms agreed to by the sales manager were in question; nor did the sales manager ever indicate that there was any rejection of the agreement of 3/16.As I became somewhat concerned at the lack of receipt of document, I called the United office at 5:13 on 3/18, asking for the Mr. [redacted] first, then the sales manager. With neither person being there, the salesman on the telephone graciously asked if he could help. Answering yes to him, I briefly described the situation to him. His response was to check the United computer system, whereupon he responded that the sale to me was in the computer and only a deposit was needed to "layaway" the vehicle until the agreed April 12 delivery day. At that point, I gave him my credit card information and authorization to charge the requested $500.00 deposit. That gentleman reviewed the entire sales details to me which was correct in every detail, including trade allowance cash difference and TTL charges. I did note with him that the balance due was just over $2,000 more than agreed on 3/16, to which he said the other parties would need to correct that at a later time. He also indicated that either Mr. [redacted] or the sales manager would get with me the next day (Saturday). There was no such call to me on Saturday or the following Monday. After calling numerous times to both United and Mr. [redacted] cell phone on 3/21 with no response ("no such number" recordings to all United calls). Finally, at 8:49 morning of 2/22, the sales manager called and simply said "after further consideration of my offer, he was going to pass". To no avail, I reminded him that he had fully agreed with the offer and directed Mr. [redacted] to create the paperwork on 3/16.Finally, with respect to Mr. [redacted]'s comments:1. I would have gladly presented the offer in writing if so asked, which I was not. Indeed, during first my trip to United in early March, I ask for a form to write my first offer, and was not allowed to do so. This set the stage for my understanding that only "final accepted" offers were to be executed via United Computer Paperwork. This is why I believe that the sales manager directed Mr. [redacted] to create and forward it to me, since I am over 150 miles from them.2. There is no financing documentation required or present since this was always stated to be a cash transaction. I have by the way, already funded it from my retirement savings, since there was an agreement.3. Unless deleted from the United computer system, there is a $500.00 MasterCard deposit to "layaway" the vehicle in my name pending transaction. Please note that while I have been forthright, undemanding throughout this entire interaction with United, the entire process has been driven by actions or inactions by United and its sales manager, there was never any consideration of written documentation being allowed or possible, except by origination by United. This leads one to believe that the word of their sales manager governs their business, and should be honored. As a retired senior manager/owner of a $500M business, I would also respectfully note that this entire complaint process could have been averted by a simple courteous or concerned response by senior management/ownership when they were copied on my concerns. All I ask is that the sales manager show that he is a man of his word and honor the sale as he approved it.

[redacted], sales manager, has been in verbal contact and text contact with Ms. [redacted] on resolving her complaint. We have agreed to replace the Whirlpool washer & dryer with a new Whirlpool washer and dryer in the box.  We have received both of these items as of 8/9/16.  Ms. [redacted]...

is to arrive 8/13/16 to meet with [redacted], inspect the product (out of the box) and change out what she currently has with the new items we have ordered in.  We understand that this will resolve the complaint.

It is unfortunate that Mr. [redacted]'s 2016 [redacted] travel trailer has a factory defect in the slide out system that cannot be repaired correctly by our dealership.  Please know that we have been working with the factory on Mr. [redacted]'s behalf regarding resolving this issue and it is the...

[redacted] factory that has identified that his unit needs to be returned to the [redacted] factory for the correct repair(s).  While the RV was purchased from United RV, we do not provide the written MFG warranty. Mr. [redacted] will have [redacted]'s written warranty in the documents he signed during purchase.  The warranty is provided by [redacted], the manufacturer of the [redacted].  United RV is merely a service center for [redacted]'s products and we are required to perform repairs per [redacted]'s specifications and requests.  While there are several solutions to this matter, I would suggest the following (option#1):1. Authorize United RV to release Mr. [redacted]'s [redacted] to [redacted] and let them take the RV back to the factory, repair the defect at the factory and return it to United RV.  The transport and repairs have been approved and will be paid for by the [redacted] factory.  If this option is accepted by Mr. [redacted], United RV would be willing to provide a "loaner" travel trailer to Mr. [redacted] during the camping trips he has planned while his [redacted] is at the factory.  United RV will incur the cost of the loaner as it will be no charge to Mr. [redacted].2. Work with [redacted] and [redacted] on trading out the [redacted] and into another brand of trailer.  However, at this point and with our past dealings it appears that additional monies will need to be paid to get into another brand of trailer.  Should Mr. [redacted] desire to explore this option further please contact [redacted] and work together with the factory on any assistance they can offer moving forward.3. If Mr. [redacted] feels that he has purchased a "lemon", he can contact the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles at ###-###-####.  We will be happy to provide Mr. [redacted] and the state his service records in order to have this matter resolved.4.  If Mr. [redacted] does not accept any of the above options, he will need to remove his [redacted] from our possession within (7) days.  If it has not been removed by 11/23/16 a $10/day storage fee will apply until it has been removed.Mr. [redacted] can reach me at any point and time on my cell# ###-###-#### to discuss the best solution to the matter above.[redacted] - Sales Manager

In response to Mr. [redacted]'s complaint ID [redacted] there seems to be some confusion and a misunderstanding as to what has been "offered or negotiated" verbally on the 2014 Coachmen Mirada.  United RV does not have a signed contract with Mr. [redacted] stating the price he would pay for the RV and...

that we have agreed to.  We do not have a deposit from Mr. [redacted] which is required to take this RV off the market and is required for the buyer as intent to purchase.  We also do not have any type of finance application filled out or signed by Mr. [redacted].  A signed contract specifying an agreed price, financing terms (if any) and deposit is required for an RV purchase by United RV.  Therefore, we are not able to complete the purchase transaction stated by Mr. [redacted] specified in this complaint.  [redacted]ertram is United RV's sales manager and has total authority from management in negotiating contracts on RV purchases.  This would also include any type of complaint or problem resolution as in the particular case. [redacted] has displayed professionalism and ethical principles as our sales manager in his 10+ years of employment with United RV.  Should Mr. [redacted] still be interested in purchasing from United RV or discussing this matter further, he should contact [redacted]ertram directly to set up an appointment to visit.  In the 40+ years United RV has been in the RV business, we rarely end up with this type of complaint and hope that we can find a solution in this case.  Please know that United RV sincerely apologizes for any miscommunication on our part.
